Quite a number of things have been done to help solve traffic problems in Singapore, and we will be learning it in our classes. But since we talk Beijing, I do love The Great Wall of China, （中11）The Great Wall of China is the longest manmade structure ever built. It was build to protect one of the Chinese kingdoms. Much of what exists of the wall today was built during the Ming Dynasty in the late1400s, although parts of the wall are much older and go back to around 200 B.C. The wall is about 35 feet high, or 11 meters, and a stone roadway runs along the top of it. The main part of the wall stretches for about 2,000 miles, that is, about 3,400 kilometers. Well, it seems that the easiest way of disposing of trash is by burying it in landfills. The problem is that in many countries the land fills have already been filled up, and its hard to find places to start new ones. No one wants a huge landfill anywhere near their neighborhood. And there is no easy solution. But many cities are trying to do more recycling so that they can reduce the amount of stuff that goes into the landfills.
