They help explain things and give us useful information .They help us find our way, tell us about the places around us and keep us safe from danger .Some signs also warn us not to do something . 【教学过程】 教学过程 二次备课 A Public signs Step 1 presentation 1. Review T:This unit has mentioned some bad manners in public places .What are they ? What should we do in these places ? 2. Summary T:If some people don’t know how to behave properly in public ,we have something to help them . What are they ? Today we’ll learn something about public signs . 3. Show some public signs ,and ask some questions : a. How much do you know about public signs ? b. Where can you see these public signs ? c. What does this public sign mean ? d. What does it tell us to do ? 4. Explain some new words : explain ,warn ,parking , litter Step 2 listening 1. Amy is also talking with her cousin Shirley about signs used in public places . Listen to the first part of their conversation and help Shirley complete her notes in Part A1. 2. Check the answers , then read them loudly . 3. Play the tape on Part A2 , do the exercises and check the answers .Play it again , then read it . 4. Shirley is writing a report on public signs .Help her complete her report in Part A3. You can use the information in Part A1 and A2 to help you . Step 3 activities Talk about public signs freely . B Speak up Step 1 presentation 1. Q: When we go to a museum , what should we pay attention to ? S: We shouldn’t speak loudly. We shouldn’t take photos . 2. Listen to the tape , answer the following questions . a. Where are Amy and Shirley ? b. What does Amy want to do ? c. What else does Amy tell Shirley ? Step 2 practice 1. Read the conversation after the sentence by sentence . 2. Act out . Step3 Homework 1.
