状语从句考点导航1掌握九种状语从句的用法（即时间状语从句、地点状语从句、原因状语从句、条件状语从句、目的状语从句、结果状语从句、比较状语从句、方式状语从句和让步状语从句）2状语从句中的紧缩形式重点扫描种类连接词注意点时间状语when, whenever, while, as, before, after, since, until, till, by the time, as soon as, hardlywhen, no soonerthan, the moment, the minute, the instant, immediately, directly, instantly主句表示将来意义时，从句须用一般现在时；while引导的从句中动词一般是延续性的；until用在肯定句中主句动词是延续性的，而否定句中主句动词为短暂性的。地点状语where, wherever原因状语because, as, since, now thatbecause语气最强，since较弱，表示大家都明了的原因，as又次之。条件状语if, unless, once, in case, as long as, on condition that, suppose/ supposing, provided / providing 从句中动词时态不可用将来时，常用一般时代替。目的状语so that, in order that, for fear thatso that和in order that后常接may, should, could, would等情态动词。结果状语sothat, suchthat在非正式文体中有时that可以省略。比较状语than, asas, not so/asas, the morethe more方式状语as if, as though, asas if 和as though引导的从句一般用虚拟语气。让步状语as, though, although, even if, even though, no matter what, whatever, no matter who, whoever, no matter which, whichever, no matter how, however, no matter when, wheneveras在让步状语从句中常用倒装形式；although和though用正常语序，可和yet连用，但不可和but连用。关于状语从句的几点注意：1when可用作并列连词，意为“在那时，在这时”，相当于and at this/ that time。常用于下列句式： 1) Somebody was doing when 2) Somebody was about to do / going to do / on the point of doing when 3) Somebody had just done when2when还可表示原因，意为“既然”。如： It was foolish of you to take a taxi when you could easily walk there in five minutes.3while 可作为并列连词，意为“而，却”，表示对比转折。4while还可引导让步状语从句，相当于though / although 引导的让步状语从句。5no sooner than和hardly/ scarcely when 表示“一就”，在此结构中主句常用过去完成时，than和when 引导的句子谓语动词用一般过去时。当no sooner和hardly/ scarcely提到句首时，应用倒装语序。6every time, each time, next time, the first time ,the instant等名词短语用来引导时间状语从句时前不可加介词。同时，immediately , directly, instantly等副词也可以引导时间状语从句。7在时间状语从句、条件状语从句和让步状语从句中，当从句的主语和主句的主语一致并且含有be动词时，常把从句的主语和be动词省略。 While (I was) walking down the street, I came across an old friend of mine.
