各位来宾、亲戚朋友们。
大家好。
时值初冬,寒松傲霜。今天,我们怀着无比崇敬、无比激动的心情,举行***烈士雕像落成仪式,深情凭吊烈士的英魂,深切缅怀他的丰功伟绩,以寄托我们的哀思,表达我们的真情,告慰烈士的在天之灵。此时此刻,我们怎能不心潮起伏,思绪万千。在漫长的革命斗争岁月中,***烈士为了民族的解放,为了人民的幸福,不惜抛头颅,洒热血,赴汤蹈火,舍身取义,矢志不渝,用宝贵的青春和热血,谱写了可歌可泣的壮丽诗篇……
***,原名刘景桂,字子丹。1903年10月4日诞生于XX省保XX县区(今XX县区)金丁镇。从青年时期起就投身革命。1925年加入中国共产党以后,更是将“追求真理,救国救民”作为毕生的宿愿。大革命时代,***曾任国民革命军第四路军政治处长等职,积极参加反对北洋军阀的战争。1927年大革命失败后,他奔走于湖北、安徽、陕西等省,从事组织起义的工作。1928年,与其他革命同志一起组织渭华起义,任西北工农革命军军事委员会主席。1931年“九一八事变“后,他组织了西北反帝同盟军,任副总指挥及参谋长,后来,反帝同盟军改为中国工农红军陕甘游击支队,***历任副总指挥、总指挥等职。1932年成立中国工农红军第二十六军,***仍负领导责任。1935年秋,红二十六军与中国工农红军第二十五军会师,成立中国工农红军第十五军团,***任副军团长兼参谋长。这年秋天,***受到机会主义分子诬陷,被关押起来。毛主席、党中央到达陕北,***才得到释放,任西北革命军事委员会副主任、北路军总指挥、中国工农红军第二十八军军长等职。1936年4月,***率红军东征,在山西XX县区三交镇战斗中光荣牺牲,时年33岁。毛泽东为他题碑:“群众领袖,民族英雄。”周恩来为他题词:“上下五千年,英雄万万千;人民的英雄,要数***。”
岁月沧桑人虽去,名满人间草木香。虽然志丹烈士已经离开我们多年,但他的精神将与日月同辉,与山河共存。他是我们世世代代的光荣和自豪,也是我们永远尊敬和爱戴的先辈与楷模。
今天,我们聚集在这里,隆重举行志丹将军雕像落成仪式,这既是为了珍视历史,慰祭先烈,更是为了继承传统,鼓舞斗志。我们是时代的幸运儿,我们应该懂得感恩,懂得今天的幸福生活来之不易。我们更应该继承和发扬志丹将军坚定的信念和无私奉献的革命精神,始终保持奋发向上的蓬勃朝气,开拓进取的昂扬锐气,树立正确的世界观、人生观和价值观,在自己的工作岗位上与时俱进,奋勇争先,兢兢业业,埋头苦干,努力为社会的进步与发展做出自己的贡献,共创我们美好的明天。

孔子是我国古代著名的思想家、教育家,儒家思想的创始人,是中国自有文明以来最具影响力的人物之一。孔子和儒家思想对中国以及亚洲各国乃至世界范围内都具有深远的影响。孔子是我们中华民族的精神先导,是我们求学向上的光辉楷模,在伟大的圣人面前,油然而生无限的敬意。
今天,我们在这里隆重集会,举行我校“孔子像揭幕仪式”,首先介绍一下到达活动现场的领导和嘉宾,他们是:......让我们用热情的掌声对朋友们的到来表示热烈的欢迎。

wemightnothavehadthecouragetocomeasfaraswehave.becauseofthathopefulvision,becauseofdr.king'smoralimagination,barricadesbegantofallandbigotrybegantofade.newdoorsofopportunityswungopenforanentiregeneration.yes,lawschanged,butheartsandmindschanged,aswell.
lookatthefacesherearoundyou,andyouseeanamericathatismorefairandmorefreeandmorejustthantheonedr.kingaddressedthatday.wearerighttosavorthatslowbutcertainprogress-–progressthat'sexpresseditselfinamillionways,largeandsmall,acrossthisnationeverysingleday,aspeopleofallcolorsandcreedslivetogether,andworktogether,andfightalongsideoneanother,andlearntogether,andbuildtogether,andloveoneanother.
soitisrightforustocelebratetodaydr.king'sdreamandhisvisionofunity.andyetitisalsoimportantonthisdaytoremindourselvesthatsuchprogressdidnotcomeeasily;thatdr.king'sfaithwashard-won;thatitsprungoutofaharshrealityandsomebitterdisappointments.
itisrightforustocelebratedr.king'smarvelousoratory,butitisworth
rememberingthatprogressdidnotcomefromwordsalone.progresswashard.progresswaspurchasedthroughenduringthesmackofbillyclubsandtheblastoffirehoses.itwasboughtwithdaysinjailcellsandnightsofbombthreats.foreveryvictoryduringtheheightofthecivilrightsmovement,thereweresetbacksandthereweredefeats.
weforgetnow,butduringhislife,dr.kingwasn'talwaysconsideredaunifyingfigure.evenafterrisingtoprominence,evenafterwinningthenobelpeaceprize,dr.kingwasvilifiedbymany,denouncedasarabblerouserandan
agitator,acommunistandaradical.hewasevenattackedbyhisownpeople,bythosewhofelthewasgoingtoofastorthosewhofelthewasgoingtooslow;bythosewhofeltheshouldn'tmeddleinissueslikethevietnamwarortherightsofunionworkers.weknowfromhisowntestimonythedoubtsandthepainthiscausedhim,andthatthecontroversythatwouldswirlaroundhisactionswouldlastuntilthefatefuldayhedied.
iraiseallthisbecausenearly50yearsafterthemarchonwashington,ourwork,dr.king'swork,isnotyetcomplete.wegatherhereatamomentofgreatchallengeandgreatchange.inthefirstdecadeofthisnewcentury,wehavebeentestedbywarandbytragedy;byaneconomiccrisisanditsaftermaththathasleftmillionsoutofwork,andpovertyontherise,andmillionsmorejuststrugglingtogetby.indeed,evenbeforethiscrisisstruck,wehadenduredadecadeofrisinginequalityandstagnantwages.intoomanytroubled
neighborhoodsacrossthecountry,theconditionsofourpoorestcitizensappearlittlechangedfromwhatexisted50yearsago-–neighborhoodswith
underfundedschoolsandbroken-downslums,inadequatehealthcare,constant
violence,neighborhoodsinwhichtoomanyyoungpeoplegrowupwithlittlehopeandfewprospectsforthefuture.
ourworkisnotdone.andsoonthisday,inwhichwecelebrateamanandamovementthatdidsomuchforthiscountry,letusdrawstrengthfromthoseearlierstruggles.firstandforemost,letusrememberthatchangehasneverbeenquick.changehasneverbeensimple,orwithoutcontroversy.changedependsonpersistence.changerequiresdetermination.ittookafulldecadebeforethemoralguidanceofbrownv.boardofeducationwastranslatedintotheenforcementmeasuresofthecivilrightsactandthevotingrightsact,butthose10longyearsdidnotleaddr.kingtogiveup.hekeptonpushing,hekeptonspeaking,hekeptonmarchinguntilchangefinallycame.(applause.)
andthenwhen,evenafterthecivilrightsactandthevotingrightsactpassed,africanamericansstillfoundthemselvestrappedinpocketsofpovertyacrossthecountry,dr.kingdidn'tsaythoselawswereafailure;hedidn'tsaythisistoohard;hedidn'tsay,let'ssettleforwhatwegotandgohome.insteadhesaid,let'stakethosevictoriesandbroadenourmissiontoachievenotjustcivilandpoliticalequalitybutalsoeconomicjustice;let'sfightforalivingwageandbetterschoolsandjobsforallwhoarewillingtowork.inotherwords,whenmetwithhardship,whenconfrontingdisappointment,dr.kingrefusedtoacceptwhathecalledthe"isness"oftoday.hekeptpushingtowardsthe"oughtness"oftomorrow.

itwasthatinsistence,thatbeliefthatgodresidesineachofus,fromthehightothelow,intheoppressorandtheoppressed,thatconvincedhimthatpeople
andsystemscouldchange.itfortifiedhisbeliefinnon-violence.itpermittedhimtoplacehisfaithinagovernmentthathadfallenshortofitsideals.itledhimtoseehischargenotonlyasfreeingblackamericafromtheshacklesofdiscrimination,butalsofreeingmanyamericansfromtheirownprejudices,andfreeingamericansofeverycolorfromthedepredationsofpoverty.
andsoatthismoment,whenourpoliticsappearsosharplypolarized,andfaithinourinstitutionssogreatlydiminished,weneedmorethanevertotakeheedofdr.king'steachings.hecallsonustostandintheotherperson'sshoes;toseethroughtheireyes;tounderstandtheirpain.hetellsusthatwehaveadutytofightagainstpoverty,evenifwearewelloff;tocareaboutthechildinthedecrepitschoolevenifourownchildrenaredoingfine;toshowcompassiontowardtheimmigrantfamily,withtheknowledgethatmostofusareonlyafewgenerationsremovedfromsimilarhardships.(applause.)
tosaythatweareboundtogetherasonepeople,andmustconstantlystrivetoseeourselvesinoneanother,isnottoargueforafalseunitythatpapersoverourdifferencesandratifiesanunjuststatusquo.aswastrue50yearsago,ashasbeentruethroughouthumanhistory,thosewithpowerandprivilegewilloftendecryanycallforchangeas"divisive."they'llsayanychallengetotheexistingarrangementsareunwiseanddestabilizing.dr.kingunderstoodthatpeacewithoutjusticewasnopeaceatall;thataligningourrealitywithouridealsoftenrequiresthespeakingofuncomfortabletruthsandthecreativetensionofnon-violentprotest.
buthealsounderstoodthattobringabouttrueandlastingchange,theremustbethepossibilityofreconciliation;thatanysocialmovementhastochannelthistensionthroughthespiritofloveandmutuality.
ifhewerealivetoday,ibelievehewouldremindusthattheunemployedworkercanrightlychallengetheexcessesofwallstreetwithoutdemonizingallwhoworkthere;thatthebusinessmancanentertoughnegotiationswithhiscompany'sunionwithoutvilifyingtherighttocollectivelybargain.hewouldwantustoknowwecanarguefiercelyaboutthepropersizeandroleof
governmentwithoutquestioningeachother'sloveforthiscountry--(applause)--withtheknowledgethatinthisdemocracy,governmentisnodistantobjectbutisratheranexpressionofourcommoncommitmentstooneanother.hewouldcallonustoassumethebestineachotherratherthantheworst,andchallengeoneanotherinwaysthatultimatelyhealratherthanwound.
intheend,that'swhatihopemydaughterstakeawayfromthismonument.iwantthemtocomeawayfromherewithafaithinwhattheycanaccomplishwhentheyaredeterminedandworkingforarighteouscause.iwantthemtocomeawayfromherewithafaithinotherpeopleandafaithinabenevolentgod.thissculpture,massiveandiconicasitis,willremindthemofdr.king's
strength,buttoseehimonlyaslargerthanlifewoulddoadisservicetowhathetaughtusaboutourselves.hewouldwantthemtoknowthathehadsetbacks,becausetheywillhavesetbacks.hewouldwantthemtoknowthathehaddoubts,becausetheywillhavedoubts.hewouldwantthemtoknowthathewasflawed,becauseallofushaveflaws.
itispreciselybecausedr.kingwasamanoffleshandbloodandnotafigureofstonethatheinspiresusso.hislife,hisstory,tellsusthatchangecancomeifyoudon'tgiveup.hewouldnotgiveup,nomatterhowlongittook,becauseinthesmallesthamletsandthedarkestslums,hehadwitnessedthehighestreachesofthehumanspirit;becauseinthosemomentswhenthestruggleseemedmosthopeless,hehadseenmenandwomenandchildrenconquertheirfear;becausehehadseenhillsandmountainsmadelowandroughplacesmadeplain,andthecrookedplacesmadestraightandgodmakeawayoutofnoway.andthatiswhywehonorthisman–-becausehehadfaithinus.andthatiswhyhebelongsonthismall-–becausehesawwhatwemightbecome.thatiswhydr.kingwassoquintessentiallyamerican--becauseforallthehardshipswe'veendured,foralloursometimestragichistory,oursisastoryofoptimismandachievementandconstantstrivingthatisuniqueuponthisearth.andthatiswhytherestoftheworldstilllookstoustolead.thisisacountrywhere
ordinarypeoplefindintheirheartsthecouragetodoextraordinarythings;thecouragetostandupinthefaceofthefiercestresistanceanddespairandsaythisiswrong,andthisisright;wewillnotsettleforwhatthecynicstelluswehavetoacceptandwewillreachagainandagain,nomattertheodds,forwhatweknowispossible.
