人教版八年级上册Unit 5 Can you come to my party?教案设计 单元整体教案 一、教材分析 本单元有两个交际功能:1.发出、接受和拒绝邀请(make,accept and decline invitations); 2.谈论义务(Talk about obligations)。本单元以“邀请”(invitations)为话题,教会学生向别人发出邀请,学会应答别人的邀请或婉拒邀请并给出理由,学会谈论责任和义务,了解英美人过生日的风俗习惯。要求学生通过对本单元的学习达到以下目标: 1.认知目标:(1)掌握词汇:.lesson,another,concert,whom,tomorrow,weekday,invitation,training,chemistry,match,whole,over,free. 表示星期的名称:Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,Saturday,Sunday.情态动词have to.掌握句式:—Can you come to my birthday party?—I’d love to./Sorry,I can’t.I have to study for a test./I’m playing soccer.—When is the party?—It’s at seven thirty. 2.能力目标:运用情态动词can 向别人发出邀请;运用目标语言发出、接受或拒绝别人的邀请;熟练地运用星期的表达及正确地拼写星期的名称;能独立地理解含目标语言的文章并能应用于写作中。 3.情感目标:通过对本单元的学习,在与人交往中学会礼貌的与人打交道,珍惜友谊,热爱生活,有责任感。 Section A 是本单元的认知部分,以邀请别人参加自己的生日为切入点,引导出目标语言—Can you come to my party?—Sure,I’d love to. 活动1a介绍重要的词汇,活动1b提供理解目标语言在口头对话中的练习,活动1c运用目标语言进行口头练习,活动2a和2b的听力训练以及2c的示范性口语练习进一步强化对目标语言的理解和运用。Grammar Focus 注意讲解人们拒绝邀请时给出理由的两种形式:(1)用have to/has to (2)用谈论将来计划的形式,如I’m going to visit mu uncle. 活动3a介绍和复习词汇点,活动3b继续操练活动3a中的对话,活动4通过做一个邀请朋友的游戏,进一步巩固运用目标进行口头练习。 经梳理可看出Section A分三个环节1a-1c,2a-2c,3a-4围绕本单元语言目标,通过听、说、读、写各种形式层层深入地展开操练,最后达到突出重点、突破难点,运用语言知识的目的。 Section B是本单元知识综合运用和能力提升部分。由询问星期及应答逐步过渡到训练学生的阅读理解能力和写作能力。 活动1a提供复习一个星期的名称及日期表达的形式,活动1b介绍新的重要语言点:today,tomorrow,the day after tomorrow,活动1c用目标语言对活动1a中的日子进行谈论。 活动2a和2b通过听力训练进一步检查学生对目标语言的理解,活动2c则巩固操练目标语言。 活动3a提供运用目标语言练习阅读和写作的能力,活动3b的读写练习和活动3c的写作练习,则一步步强化学生自如运用目标语言,最后通过活动4的听说读写综合练习进一步展现出来。 Self check部分则通过词汇和写作练习检测学生准确、灵活运用目标语言的能力,进而反馈出本单元的学习效果。 二、学生分析 基础教育阶段学生就近入学,平行分班,每班近60人,学生基础参差不齐。如何让不同层次的学生都能学有所获,教学方法的选择尤为重要。 三、教学设想 结合《英语课程标准》倡导的体验、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型教学途径以及我校目前正在全力实践的“以学定教、多元互动”教训模式,联系学生实际,课堂将通过创设情景、展示学习目标、出示自学指导引导学生进入自学、交流、探讨境地,以把学的过程放给学生,把问的权利交给学生,把讲的机会让给学生。教师通过互动检查发现问题,归纳、整理,为后教做好准备,最终实现目标内容的有效教学。具体降分五课时进行。 单元课时教案 Period One (Section A 1a-2c) Teaching aims: 1.knowledge goals:Key vocabulary,Target language,Grammar Focus 2.Ability goals:Listening skill,Communicative competence 3.Moral goal:Learn some foreign cultures.It”s polite to refuse one”s invitation if you can”t go. Teaching important points: 1.Key vocabulary:lesson,study for a test,help my parents,go to the doctor,visit my aunt,have a piano lesson,baseball game,too much homework 2.Target language:—Can you come to my party on Wednesday?—Sure,I”d love to./Sorry ,I have to go to the doctor. Teaching difficult points:Groupwork,Oral practice,Grammar focus,invitation if you can”t go Teaching aids:A picture,a small blackboard,a tape recorder Teaching methods:Listening and speaking method,Communicative approach,Pairwork Teaching procedures: Step 1 Presentation Show the students a picture of a birthday party,let them look at it,then answer: (1).What are they doing? (2).Do you know how to make,accept,and decline invitations in English? Step 2 Show the students “studying aims” 1.Remember key vocabularies and phrases:study for a test/go to the doctor/have a piano lesson/help my parents/visit my aunt 2.make,accept and decline invitations 3.Talk about obligations Step 3.Tell them “how to learn by themselves” Go through Section A 1a-2c,try to find out hou to make,accept,and decling invitations,how to give reasons if you can not go. Step 4.Show what they have learned 1.Answer questions (1).How to make,accept and decline invitations. (2).What patterns do you need to use if you can not go ? 2.Discuss their difficult points when they learn by themselves. First let other students give their answers.if necessary ,the teacher helps them Step 5.Practice 1.Check the answers with the students.1a 2.Listening practice:1b,2a,2b First listen and try to find the answers,then check the answers. 3.Oral practice 2c Ask two students to read the sample conversation to the class,then work with a partner ,make their own conversations.Finally ask some students to present their dialogues to the class. Step 6.Summary Let the students go through “Grammar Focus”,then ask some students to summarize what they have learned in this class.Pay attention to : (1)have to /has to+v (2)am/is/are+v-ing Step 7.Extension Choose the best answer 1.----Can you come to my birthday?----Sure,___________. Step 3.Tell them “how to learn by themselves” Go through 3a-4,try to finish 3a and 3b,then work with partner,try to find a time when you can both go there. Steo 4 Show their answers about their 3a-4,then discuss about their difficult points.First let other students give answers,if necessary,the teacher will give them help. Step 5.Oral practice Activity 1 Have a match Each student makes an invitation card,using target language to make invitations.See who can invite more students in a certain time. Activity 2 Invite a friend,work in pairs to finish 4 Activity 3 Which group is lucky? Devide the Ss into groups,each group makes their own calendar for a week, each group has a chance to choose a group to make invitations.See which group can find a group to have time to do things with them. Step 6 Summary Ask students to summarize what they have learned in this class. Step 7 Writing practice Look at some invitation cards,then fill in the blanks. Step 8 Homework Use computers to send an invitation to the teacher.If you don't have a computer,please make an invitation card. Teaching procedures Step 1 Presentation 1.Display a current wall calendar and ask a student to point out today's date,then present:today,tomorrow,the day after tomorrow, yesterday,the day before yesterday,weekday,weekend 2.Help Ss to finish 1a and 1b. Step 2 Practice 1c Two students read the dialogue in the speech bubble,then have the students work in pairs to make their own dialogues,pointing to different dates at random on the wall calendar,finally,help the students to summarize: (1) ----What day is it today?----It's_______. (2) -----What's the date today?----It's ______. Step 3 Listening practice 2a and 2b First go through them,then listen and try to find the answers,finally check the answers. Step 4 Oral practice 1.2c Work with a partner. Ask Ss to practice for a few minutes,then ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class. 2. Grpouwork:Have a birthday party Divide the Ss into groups.First investgate their partners'birthday,then choose one to have a birthday party,next discuss what activities they can do in a party.Finally make a list and an invitation card. Step 5 Summary Ask some students to summarise what they have learned in this class. Moral goal:Invite your friends to enjoy your birthday party Teaching important points:Reading passage.I'm +verb +ing,I have to +verb Teaching difficult points:Reading and writing practice Teaching methods:Reading and writing methods,communicative approach,Groupwork Teaching aids:a tape recorder ,a calendar.some cards Teaching procedures: Step 1 Revision: play a game (Name That Day) Display the wall calendar.Say a student's name,point to a date on the calendar and say either yesterday,today or tomorrow.The student has to respond within five seconds with the correct date.See how fast students can respond with correct answers. Step 2 Show Ss "Studying aims" Know E-mail message and can write an e_mail,using target language. Step 3 Tell them "How to learn by themselves" Go through 3a-4,try to finish them Step 4 Show their answers and check them,then discuss their difficulties. First let other students give their answers. If necessary,the teacher will help them.Finally read 3a. Step 5 Practice 1.3c Have a match (Say "Why you can't visit your friend next week?") Note:You can't repeat other's reasons 2. Groupwork 4 (Plan a party) First you need to list your calendar for next week ,then ask one student to have a party. See how many students are free on that day.Ask some students to give their reasons if he or she can't go. Step 6 Summary Ask some students to summarize what they have learned in this class. Step 7 Share information Let the students to show American culture about invitations they have collected. Step 8 Homework Go over Unit 5 and list their questions that they don't understand Blackboard Design Step 9 Teaching thoughts: Period 5 (Self check) Teaching aims :Revision and Extension Teaching important points:key words and target languages Teaching difficulties:Use target languages corrcectly and freely. Teaching methods:listening ,speaking ,reading,writing,communicative approach Teaching procedures: Step 1 Target language practice 1. Show Ss an invitation card.Ask one student to read it to the class,then ask some students to give their answers .If they can't go ,they need to give their reasons. 2.Let the students go through Self check 2,then read their answers to the class Step 2 Key words and Phrases 1.Test some phrases 2.Show them those key words and phrases.Let the students discuss the differences in groups,then ask some students to give their answers .If necessary,the teacher will help them.
