Swimming is very popular in the world. Many people like swimming in summer ,even in the other seasons. Water makes people feel cool and swimming makes people keep fit.
If you like swimming and swim in a wrong place, it may not be safe. These years, a lot of people died when they were enjoying themselves in the water, and most of them were students. But some people are not careful in swimming. They often think they swim so well that nothing will happen to them in water. Summer is here again. If you go swimming in summer, don't forget that better swimmers have died in water. They died because they were not careful, not because they could not swim. So don't get into water when you are alone. If there is a "No Swimming" sign, don't get into water. If you remember these, swimming will be safer and enjoyable.

Joan worked in a hospital as a nurse. One evening there was a big dance at the hospital. She went to each sick child one after another and said good-night, until she came to one little boy, Dicky. He was eleven years old, but he was already able to talk like an adult. Poor Dicky had a very serious illness, and now he was hardly able to move any part of his body except his hands. Joan knew he would never get any better, but he was always happy and always thinking about other people instead of about himself.
