Speaking plan Hello! Every judge. Today I’ll say module 8“photos”, unit 2 “Read on to find out who the winners are.” First, let me say something about the teaching material. Module 8 is a band of module 7 and module 9, all of them are expressing a very important grammar that is Restrictive attributive clause with that, who and which, it’s also a basic part of module 10 ,so it’s special and important. Then, I’ll analyze the students . They’re in grade 9, around 15-16 years old. They always want to keep silent, in addition that this lesson model is reading and writing, so I’ll lead them to do more reading exercise , ask them to speak as much as possible to read and recite the paragraphs. The third is the teaching aim. There are three aims in this lesson. One is to get information from the reading material about photo competition; one is to understand the main idea of the first three paragraphs; the third is to try to recite the three paragraphs. And finally, students can write a short passage about another photo . Fourthly, I’ll say teaching method. Because of the lesson model--- reading and writing .I’ll lead students to practice reading as much as possible , also, I’ll give them a task to finish in pairs, therefore, I choose interactive approach and task-based approach. Fifth and sixth, they’re important and difficult points. Some phrases in the passage and students’ ability of writing something is the important point and the ability of writing is difficult point. I decide to resolve them in passage and writing part. Seventhly, it is about teaching aid. I’ll use some slides on the computer to show the lesson . Next one is the most important , that’s teaching procedure. In this part , I want to show the lesson in 6 steps: Step 1, Show a photo competition to students ,here I’ll use several questions to lead in new lesson. Step 2, I’ll give students a task, ask them to work in pairs to fill the contents into the table. Of course , I must give them correct answers and let them get ready for learning and reciting the first three paragraphs. Step 3, it should be belonged to intensive reading . First, students will listen to the paragraphs wholly for one time, then read them and next learn the paragraphs .During the procedure, ask students to retell , repeat and recite. Step 4,give students enough time to practice retelling and repeating the paragraphs. Step 5, Writing. In this step I want to realize one of tasks of lesson model--writing. First, show something about writing points ,then ask students to write a short passage for one photo. Step 6, consolidation. In order to stress the key points, I’ll check them with a form. Number nine is about homework. Before giving them homework, I’ll investigate the number of students who can recite the two paragraphs, who can only recite one and who can only read it , at last , give them different homework. Number ten step is blackboard designing. Because I know a perfect blackboard should be classified into two parts, one is for main and important points, called main blackboard; the other one is for writing some examples or phrases etc. , called vice-blackboard.
