Unit2 How often do you exercise? Period 2 (2c~3c) 主备: 屠玉龙 一、 Teaching aims: 1. Knowledge aims: Key words: grogram, swing dance, free, at least Key sentences: How often do you watch TV? / I hardly ever watch TV./ How often does he go to movies? / He goes to movies twice a month. / I never go shopping. 2. Ability aims: Talk about how often you and your friends do thing. 3. Emotional aims: Learn to make plans in daily life. 二、Important & Difficult points: The use of the frequency words. 三、Teaching steps: (一) 导 学 Step 1. Preparation Do 2c. Role-play the conversations. Review the old sentences. “What do you usually do on weekends?” ”I always went shopping.” Step 2. Presentation Show pictures of different activities. Ask Ss to discuss about what activity they usually do and what they never do. (二) 互 动 Step 3. Practice: 1. Listen to the radio. Underline difficult sentences and discuss in group to try to understand them. Read the conversation loudly and translate it. 2. Role-play the conversation. Ask group members to read first. Then try to memorize the conversation and perform it without looking at books. 3. Read Grammar Focus together. Pay attention to frequency words. Summarize the use of the frequency words. Do more practice by making out more sentences. Step4. Production 1. role-play 2d and 3a. Give enough time for the Ss to prepare. Then ask Ss to complete with each other. 2. Ask your group to discuss what you can do to improve your English. Then ask your classmates the questions and find the best English student. “ How often do you read English books?” ” I read English books every day.” (三) 达 标 Step 5. Progress 1. do 3a. 3b 2. do some exercises. Step 6. Production2: Write a short passage about the best English student in your group. Write about how often he/ she does things. Step 7. Blackboard design: How often do you ……..? I always/ usually/ often/ sometimes/ hardly ever/ never….. I …….. once/ twice/ three times a day/week/month. Step 8. Reflective teaching:
