Dear xxx,
We are in receipt of your letter of July 7, and much to our regret, we have learnt that you cannot extend the captioned L/C.
As you know, there is only one direct steamer per month here sailing for your port at the first half of the month. As far as I know, this vessel is to depart from this port in one day or two. We, therefore, can’t make shipment within this month. As requested in our letter of June 30, please do your best to extend shipment date and negotiation date of the L/C to Aug. 10 and 30 respectively.
