A story—The seal
教学目标:
知识目标：
1.Look  at the pictures,listen ,read  the story to understand the story and read the story fluently
2.Ｔo learn this story,make the students know the main words  and  sentences  of  the story. 
技能目标：To develop the ability of creative thinking and train the ability of  observing and reading.
情感态度：We should live with the nature harmoniously.Make our earth more and more beautiful.
学习策略：培养学生的注意力，观察力，激发学生积极思维。并通过相关的教学活动，引导学生在任务中，积极运用所学英语进行故事理解、表达与交流。
过程与方法目标：
1、Train the ability of grasping and dealing with the information.
2、Train the ability of working together with the others.
教学重点：The students can understand the story
难点：Mime the tongue of the characters and read the story.
      Use the new language in the suitable scene
教具:
CAI 、word cards、 head portrait of the characters、the tape
some pictures、 some sea-animal cards.
教学步骤
Step1.  Warming up
Greeting and free talk.
Sing a song: Come  along  to the beach.
歌曲导入，创设情境 ，走进故事 .
Step2.3 Presentation and prctice
（一）1、谈论海滩活动，引出故事人物，走进故事。
1、T：What can people do on the beach?
Ss:  S1  S2…个别回答  swim、play with the fish、play games snorkel…
出示故事人物Emma Mike去潜水图片
T:They are Emma and Mike.They are on the beach. (粘贴图片，手势指孩子带的面具、脚蹼)They  are going to …
Ss:snorkel  或They will go snorkelling.
T: What are these things?(手势指孩子带的面具、脚蹼)
学习mask  flippers.
读：one by one---groups---chant
2、T: When they go snorkelling,they see an animal.What animal?Let`s listen.
听音引出题目The seal. We will learn a story about the seal.(课件展现海豹及故事图片，让学生感知故事围绕海豹而展开)（粘贴题目The seal）
The seal is very clever.What can it do ?
Ss可能能描述  如果不能 教师语言引导Can it swim?  Can it play balls?
播放海豹表演视频(激发学生对海豹的热爱)
But in the story a bad thing has happened to the lovely seal.
What has happened? 学生说出自己的猜想，可以汉语说出，教师英语描述。
3、出示图片呈现故事主要情节
T：What colour is the water? Ss:It`s red.
T:The water is red.Why？What`s in the water?
Ss:blood  (可能读音有问题)  或者回答“血”
T:教学blood. 注意oo的读音。句型条呈现问题“What`s wrong with the seal?”
Ss:It`s hurt.
读（齐读、听音模仿读、两人读、角色展示读）的形式强化理解这一主要情节。
4、T:What hurts the seal?学生听快艇声音，通过孩子们的对话理解：The jet-ski hurts the seal.
（二）出示问题，理清故事线索.
1、What  will they do?  Who will help them?
（小组内图片排序，理清故事线索。图片出现不完全对话文字）
 活动说明:五个活动小组，每组六张图片，其中五张与本课故事有关。小组图片排序，粘贴在白纸上，呈现故事情节之后，利用投影仪呈现答案。每组剩余的一张图片会组成拓展环节的另外一个小故事。
学生小组排序活动中教师要巡回指导、观察学生排序、粘贴情况通过问答：Who is he?  What`s his name?了解学生对故事的理解情况从而给以引导，让学生有表达的机会。
2、填表加深对故事人物、情节的理解。

3、 猜测孩子们语言、组内读，男女生分角色读。
4、 听录音，模仿故事人物Emma`s father的语音语调, 采用比一比的形式读。
5、 齐读有关Jones 的句子。
（三）看板书，利用故事主线，师生复述故事。
（四）巩固故事
1、听录音跟读故事，注意故事中人物的语音语调。
2、自由朗读。（教师巡视，学生随机展示自己读的好的句子）
3、小组读相关故事情节。（练习纸上呈现主要故事情节图）
4、学生展示。（one-----one、 two---two、groug---group）
Step5 Production
组编新故事，结合故事的主题,观看捕杀海豹的视频体现本课的思想渗透。
Step6 Ending
Homework：write a passage about the sea animals.
