Unit 5 Do you like pears? Teaching aims: 1、Knowledge aims; (1)be able to say apple \orange \pear \banana. (2)be able to use the sentence pattern “DO you like …”“Yes! I do.\No! I don’t.” to ask and answer. 2、 Ability aims; Students use the sentence pattern “DO you like …”“Yes! I do.\No! I don’t.” to express their favorite fruits. 3. Emotional aims; Students are more interested in English and know fruits are good to their health. Teaching important points: Words:apple \orange \pear \banana. Sentence pattern: “DO you like …”“Yes! I do.\ No! I don’t.” Teaching aids: 1、multi-media 2、fruit cards Teaching procedure: Step1: Warm up 1. Play the song “Apple round, apple red” 2. Watch a video 3. Say: OK, boys and girls, Come and follow me to a garden! Xi Yangyang has a large garden. Do you want to go and see? Show a garden picture and ask: What fruits can you see in the garden? Invite some students to say out their names. Step2: Presentation 1. Learn the new words. ① Use the magnifier to magnify pear, then teach pear with rising tune and falling tune. After that, teacher uses unlimited cloning function to make the pear become more and more and asks students what we call these in English. Teacher can introduce:I like pears. ② Let's guess It's red. It's round. It's sweet. It's juicy. What's it? (apple) Teacher can introduce: I like apples and ask “ Do you like apples?” Lead students to answer Yes, I do. \ No, I don’t. ③ Use the mask function to cover the orange and ask students to guess what it is. After guessing, use the same way to teach orange. ④ Show a monkey picture and ask students “what does monkey like to eat?” Then teacher can introduce: I like bananas and ask “ Do you like bananas?” Lead students to answer Yes, I do. \ No, I don’t. If they say Yes, I do. Teacher can introduce “Here you are” and lead them to answer “Thanks”. ⑤ Simply teach “strawberry、grapes、watermelon” . . 2. Words practice ① Use the die function to let them read the words loudly. ② Play a spelling game. ③ Play a matching game. 3. Learn sentence pattern Say: XI yangyang and Mei yangyang are in the fruit garden. XI yangyang wants to know what fruit Mei yangyang likes to eat, so he asks: Do you like apples? Do you like pears? Mei yangyang answers:Yes, I do.\ No, I don’t. Teacher reads, students follow. 4. Practice ① Teacher random show the fruit’s pictures, students say the sentence loudly. ② Students come to the front and click one picture and say out the sentences loudly. ③ Two students come to the front. One introduces I like___and asks Do you like____. The other answers Yes or No. If it is Yes, pick one and put it on the tree. Step 3. Consolidation 1. Play the video .Students listen and read. 2. Play a role-play game. Step 4. Development 1. Group wok: Make a survey, 4 students in a group. 2. Sing a song: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Blackboard design: Do you like ____? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. Homework: 1、Draw the fruits you like. 2、Go to the supermarket, and say out their names.
