一、课前热身（Warm-up）
1. Free talk
T: Good morning, boys and girls.Ss: Good morning, teacher.T: Nice to see you.Ss: Nice to see you, too.
2. 教师播放跟前“What can you do?”的录音，全班学生跟着录音大声唱歌曲，激发学生的学习热情。
二、课前预习（Preview）
游戏：石头、剪刀、布。 学生同桌玩“石头、剪刀、布”的游戏，赢的一方问：“What can you do?”，输的一方用句型“I can …”回答。
三、新课呈现（Presentation）
1. B. Read and write
(1) 教学新单词
教师用课件呈现邮件的图片，说：“This is an email. I want to send the email to my friend.”（教师边说边做发送邮件的动作），然后教师接着说：“I can send the email at mary@.”
(2) 教师带领学生把新单词用“唱反调”的方式读几遍。 want send email at
(3) 简单介绍邮件内容。
T: Do you remember the robot “Robin”? (边说边出示机器人罗宾的图片) Robin wants a new friend. It writes something about itself. Let’s listen to the tape and see.
(4) 第一次播放教学录音，学生根据录音内容判断句子正误。第二次播放教学录音，师生一起核对答案。
(5) Introduce yourself
T: Do you want to be Robin’s friend? Write three sentences about yourself.
学生写完后在四人小组内轮流介绍自己会做的事情，然后教师请两三位小组代表介绍本组的成员都会做些什么。
2. Let’s check
(1) 教师介绍听力任务。
T: Listen to the tape, see what John and Zhang Peng can do and fill in the blank.
(2) 第一次播放教学录音，学生根据录音内容完成选择和填空任务。
(3) 第二次播放教学录音，师生一起核对答案。
四、巩固延伸（Consolidation & Extension）
1. C. Story time
(1) 教师介绍故事背景。
T: A snake meets a clever rat and wants to eat it. Can the rat get away? Let’s read the story and see.
(2) 教师出示本部分的教学挂图，让学生明白故事的大致意思。
(3) 第一次播放教学录音，全班学生跟着录音读，提醒学生在跟读的过程中注意模仿录音中的语音、语调。
(4) 第二次播放教学录音，学生听完录音后回答下面的问题：
① What is the tasty food?② Can the rat sing?③ Can the rat dance?④ Is the snake clever?
Answer:① A rat.② Yes, it can.③ Yes, it can.④ No, it’s silly.
(5) 学生在小组内练习分角色表演故事，然后教师请两三组学生上讲台表演，提醒学生表演时要带上适当的表情和动作，教师评选出“最佳表演组”，并给予表扬。
