1、高中英语口语活动创新课例学习外语的目的并不仅仅是为了阅读文献或翻译外语资料,还要进行面对面的交流。随着国际交流日益频繁,口语的重要性日益显著。为了适应这一潮流,在课堂中,创设学生感兴趣的语言环境,设计学生感兴趣的口语活动,是十分必要的。笔者在多年的课堂教学过程中,偶尔突发奇想,创造了几则口语练习的课例。现将具体课例介绍如下,与同行共享。 一、 即兴辩论辩论是学生喜欢的课堂活动形式,在课堂上开展辩论活动不仅能帮助学生应用所学的语言知识,还能活跃课堂气氛,激发学生的学习热情,例如,普通高中课程标准实验教科书最新版本英语必修1 Unit 4 Earthquakes 第一课时Pre -reading

2、第一题Imaginge your home begins to shake and you must leave it right away.You have time to take only one thing.What will you take? Why?这样问答未免太过复杂,笔者灵机一动,干脆改为 There are two things near you .You have time to take only one thing . W hich one will you take ,food or money? Then I tell them to argue in class

3、,girls as the pros and boys as the cons .The pros: I will choose to take food because at that time no stores are open , y ou can t buy any food even if you have money ,and you will starve to death .The cons: I will take money because food is heavier than money.Maybe you will run slower and you will

4、be buried to death .The pros: In danger man s power is endless .we can run as fast as possible .Then we ll escape from death .The cons: Because I have a lot of money ,no one will ignore me ,then they will give me some food . .The pros: At that time money is useless ,everyone is hungry .If they have

5、some food ,they must give it to their dear ones or their relatives.They can t save a strange richer.由于是自由辩论,课堂上气氛很活跃。男孩子好胜心强 ,所以争先恐后起来辩论。女孩子也个个是巾帼英雄,不让须眉男子,口中振振有词,把男孩们说得哑口无言,最后是女方赢得比赛。二、记者采访 教学有关新闻报道类或科幻类文章时,教师可以组织学生开展记者采访活动。在采访活动中,教师应鼓励学生提出一些富有新意和具有一定深度的问题。这不仅能充分调动学生学习的积极性,还能培养学生的想象力和创造力。例如,在人民教育出版

6、社最新出版的普通高中课程标准实验教科书英语必修5 Unit 3 Life in the future 第六课时口语课中,其中有一题Imagine what life will be like in your hometown in one thousand years . 我设计成一个现代记者去采访 1000年后的未来人的场景(记者出现,手中拿着话筒 ,在教室里穿梭提问)Reporter _ R Future man_FmAn interview Teacher: Li Yang ,a reporter has come on a magical journey on October 10,3

7、007 to find out about the future life .He is now interviewing some future men .Li: Hello!Future man . Nice to meet you ! I wonder that your life must be unimaginable and quite different from ours .Can I ask you some questions?Fm1:Of course. Li: What is it like inside your house ?Fm1:Our life is very

8、 convinent.We needn t go shopping in the market and cook food at home because everything is operated by computer.Futhermore,the rob ot can do other housework such as washing clothes, washing dishes , making the bed and cleaning the house.Li: What about outdoors?Fm2:There is a robot every one hundred

9、 meters to clean the road.So you will find it very clean where ver you go .Li: How do you cure your illness?Fm3:We needn t go to the hospital to see a doctor. We put a wire into the wall and the doctor will examine us and send drugs to our home.Li: How do you trav e l?Fm4:We can travel by personal f

10、lying car or bike.We can also drive a car that can either be driven on the road or through the water like a surmarine.Besides,we can take a spaceship to visit the Mars,the moon etc.在这次采访中,学生们个个思维活跃,充分发挥了他们的想象力。采访形式给学生提供了一定的思维空间,对中学的英语教学产生了积极的促进作用。三、Talk Show教师可以结合当前出现的新名词如绿色食品,引导学生讨论消费者更喜欢买绿色食品还是化学耕

11、种生产的食品。并让学生以talk show的形式分组汇报。这样的语言实践既可以帮助学生提高语言运用的能力,又可以增强其环境意识和责任感。例如普通高中课程准实验教科书英语选修 4 Unit 2 Working the land 第六节口语课,我就安排了这个话题让学生分组讨论,然后 把结果汇报出来。下面是他们的一组对话。Which kind of food would you like to buy ,green food or chemical farming one ? A and B are house women ,they are talking about it . A :I see

12、the price of green food is much more expensivethan that of the chemical farming one, and thegreen food doesnt look better .I think I preferto buy the cheaper one . B: Even so,I still would rather buy the green food A: Why do you say so? B: Although the chemical farming food is cheaper and look bette

13、r ,there are many chemicals n the food supply ,which can lead to cancer or other illnesses .Whats more ,fruit ,vegetables and other food grown with chemical fertilizer usually grow too fast to be full of much nutrition . They may look beautiful ,but inside there is usually more water than vitamins a

14、nd minerals . A: Is that all ? B: No.Apart from this ,green food tastes moredelicious. A: Oh ,I havent reallized that before . B: Indeed ,if I have the choice ,Ill continute to buy green food .A: Its a great pity ! Ididnt know about this before .Maybe I should start buying the green food now.B: you

15、should think things over. A: I think I just might. 通过这些讨论,学生们既增长了见识,又活用了课文的内容,口头和交际能力又得到发展,一箭三雕,何乐而不为呢?四、 故事接龙充分利用教科书听读材料所提供的信息把整个故事梗慨复述出来。这样既可使学生有话可说,有情可表,而且锻炼了概括能力。这也有助于高考作文的任务型写作,由于故事本身长了点,可以先叫学生互相复述给对方听,不懂可以互相提示。接龙的好处是一个学生在复述时其他学生必须注意听才能接下去,也集中了他们的注意力。如普通高中课程标准实验教科书的英语必修二 Unit 2 the Olympic Game

16、s 第五课时 Using language. Reading and listening The story of Atlanta.做完整篇课文的听读练习后,就叫学生进行故事接龙。我先把整个故事的梗概用一句活说出来 This is a story of how a man married a princess by winning a race with a goddess help.S1:Atlanta was a very beautiful princess。 she could run faster than any man in Greece. Many men tried to c

17、ompete with her,but failed and so were killed(It is your turn now).S2:One man wanted to win and marry Atlanta very much.He asked the Goddess of love for help.She gave him three golden apples.(and what will happen?S3)S3 :When the race began,Atlanta ran past him. He threw the gololen apples one after

18、anoter.She stopped to pick them up.(and what is the result?The next one)S4:Because the golden apples were too heavy ,she ran too slowly and he won. At last Atlanta married him and they lived happily ever after.由于这几个学生故事接得很流利,因此博得同学们的阵阵掌声,课堂气氛达到了高潮。又有很多学生争先恐后起来按照他们自己的思路接故事,高潮一浪又一浪。五、电影配音学生要说较标准的英语之前肯

19、定要先听标准的发音,那么原版的电影名著便是最好的老师。电影除了能听到声音,还能看到演员的口型、动作和表情。学生在耳濡目染的环境中,习得的发音、语气、声调更接近标准的英语。例如,在影片 The Million Pound Bank-Note Act 1 Scene 3 有这样一个片段, Henry 在饿了24 小时后在伦敦街头流浪,这时两个富有的兄弟Roderick and Oliver 看到他并把他叫进他们的豪宅。在毫宅里,他门进行了一番谈话。笔者播放影片给学生看以后,就让他们自己分配角色,小组先练习。下面就是他们的对话:(影片镜头:Henry 因为饿得受不了,正要俯下身去拾小姑娘丢掉的梨时)

20、Roderick: Young man ,would you step inside a moment ,please ? (高高在上,很自信地Henry: Who? Me, Sir ? (怀疑的语气 )Roderick: Yes ,you . (肯定地回答)Oliver: Through the front door on your left. (平和的语气)Henry: (A servent opens the door )Thanks .(感激地)Servent: Good morning ,Sir. Would you please come in?Permit me to lead

21、the way ,Sir .(谦卑 恭敬地)通过模仿,学生尝试了当配音演员,他们觉得很兴奋,很是刺激,所以个个跃跃欲试,课堂气氛非常热烈。但有时候电影对白太长、太快,学生无法跟上节奏,就可以采取创作配音。首先,教师可以关闭电影的声音,让学生通过画面,对剧情发展以及角色的对白内容进行猜测。学生可以先在组内交流各自的看法,每个学生都要有充分的发言时间;然后再恢复影片的声音让学生验证自己的猜测是否正确。学生在未听声音之前会满怀期待,跃跃欲试。无论自己的猜测是否接近,现在的学生都很乐于挑战。当学生的注意力容易分散,便是运用这种方法的最佳时机。在课堂教学中,创设学生感兴趣的语言环境,设计学生感兴趣的活动,能够使学生带着兴趣对语言进行口语活动。这既有利于提高课堂效率,也有利于让学生获得英语学习的成就感,逐步形成学习英语的兴趣,并使之成为其自主学习的动力。
