My speech topic is lifelong education.
Education is life, not merely preparation for an unknown kind of future living. The whole of life is learning, therefore education can have no endings. We lifelong education is in order to pursuit of knowledge. It not only increases us understanding what is successes and failures, but also enhances personal development and competitiveness in society. That is why people always regard studying as an eternal theme, repeatedly stressed the importance of learning, and constantly explore the scientific method of learning.
We must realize that learning is not confined to childhood or the classroom. During the last fifty years, constant scientific and technological innovation and change has had a profound effect on learning. Learning can no longer be divided into a place and time to acquire knowledge. Instead, learning can be seen as something that takes place on our daily life.
Society is in a state of constant flux. Lifelong education enables us to keep up with society’s changes, especially the technological. If we cease from learning for just a few days, it will make us lag behind. So we must come together to join lifelong education.
