2、 it is generally considered to be a landmark work of science fiction.As soon as it came out,Frankenstein had a considerable influence across literature and brought about a complete type of horror stories,films,and plays.It was highly valued by critics of each country,bringing Mary Shelley worldwide

3、popularity.So far dozens of films have been adapted from this novel.Frankenstein,the hero of the novel,is a scientist addicted to life scientific research and tries hard to use artificial methods to create life.However,Frankenstein eventually creates a horrible and ugly monster,which frightens and s

4、hocks him so much that he dumps it desperately.At the beginning,the artificial monster has kind-hearted nature which is filled with goodwill and gratitude towards human beings.However,after experiencing all kinds of unfair treatments and discriminations(歧视) from human beings,he gets extremely angry.

5、With mad ideas filling its mind,the monster starts to take revenge(报复).It kills Frankensteins brother William,his best friend Clerval,and then murders his bride Elizabeth cruelly at his wedding.In order to stop the monster from ruining the world around it,Frankenstein decides to destroy the monster,

6、which once cost him a great deal of time and efforts.Then the two begin to chase each other to the North Pole,where Frankenstein dies of overtiredness while the regretful monster,determines to kill itself,drifts away on an ice raft,never to be seen again.The novel discusses controversial topics and
