Love vs death“An old man , a young man , and lifes greatest lesson.”This sentence from the coverof a book named Tuesdays with Morrie which was written by Mitch Albom . The novel makes me feel curious . The story is about an old professor Morrie found he got a serious illness and would died . He appointed with his student Mitch to have lifes lesson every Tuesday until Morrie die . Morrie said: “No grades were given , but there were oral exams each week . You were expected to respond to questions , and you were expected to pose questions of your own No books were required , yet many topics were covered , including love , work , community , family , death”(Albom ,1) Morrie said in a placid , genial , and facetious voice . He always talk about death in a peace mood , which attitude should be admired .Everyone should love their life . Morrie gave an image about perfect day . “What if you had one day perfectly healthy , I asked? What would you do?Twenty-four hours?Twenty-four hours . Lets seeId get up in the morning , do my exercises , have a lovely breakfast of sweet rolls and tea , go for a swim ,then have my friends come over for a nice lunch . Id have them come one or two at a time so we could talk about their families , their issues , talk about how much we mean to each other . Then Id like to get for a walk , in a garden with some trees , watch their colors , watch the birds , take in the nature that I havent seen in so long now . In the evening , wed all go together to a restaurant with some great pasta , maybe some duck-I love duck-and then wed dance the rest of the night . Id dance with all the wonderful dance partners out there , until I was exhausted . And then Id go home and have a deep , wonderful sleep . Thats it?Thats it . ”(Albom , 175-176) It is a simple day , simple life style , but most of people unwilling to do that . Every day will have fun , if someone believe . Well , have a lunch with families or friends , it doesnt hard to do . They dont mind the cooking style , they care about the love and the warming atmosphere . When a person is tired , he should look at the sky , walk in a field , and get the fresh air , he will feel relaxed . Whether happy or not , dance for oneself until exhausted , dont care about whose laughing , and then have a great sleep . Why not? It can be a perfect day . Morrie faced death peacefully . Because of deteriorated condition , Morrie lost his ability on provided himself , such as turned over his body on the bed at night , adjusted the sitting position from time to time by himself , eating and so on . All of these things needed to depend on his family . Whole body of Morrie were amyotrophy gradually . At the final period of him , he looked at his muscular atrophy and did nothing . However , Morrie said: “Its like going back to being a child again . Someone to bathe you , someone to lift you , someone to wipe you . We all know how to be a child . Its inside all of us . For me , its just remembering how to enjoy it . ”(Albom , 116)Yes, he always special and optimistic, his words really amazing . Love is powerful . Morrie said: “As long as we can love each other , and remember the felling of love we had , we can die without ever really going away . All the love you created is still there . All the memories are still there . You live on-in the hearts of everyone you have touched and nurtured while you were here .”(Albom , 174)Although Morrie had been died , the lesson never cancel .In conclusion, there are two main reasons that Morrie had positive thinking . For one , he enjoy the love which was given by his family . Morrie said: “I began to enjoy my dependency.”(Albom , 116) For two , Morrie thinked every day would be perfect day . He said: “Learn how to die , and you learn how to live .” (Albom ,83)Morrie always tell people lots of brilliant ideas. “Mitch Alboms book is a gift to mankind.-Philadelphia”Everyone who read this book gave it a high mark , so it is worth to read.
