Work In The Countryside

Many university graduates now volunteer to work in the countryside. It is reported that once hundreds of university graduates competed with one another to work as a village leader in Beijing.

Many factors have contributed to this phenomenon. First, with more and more university students graduating each year, the job market competition becomes increasingly fierce and many graduates can not find jobs in the cities. Working in the countryside is better than being jobless. Second, the villages that are trying to employ university graduates are generally in the rich area of the country which makes woking there an attractive choice. Third, some university graduates being from the countryside are eager to go back home to contribute to construction their hometown with their konwledge and enthusiasm. They will play important role in building the new countryside.

Personally, I think university graduates should go to work where they are needed most and where they can make full use of their talents. Working in the countryside can be turely an advisable choice.
Topic 4. Need we never give up?

When Wallace watched the spider fail 6 times in spinning a web and succeed at the 7th time he realized that he should lead his Scottish people to fight against the English invaders for another time. And he too succeeded. Whenever we face some difficulties or suffer setbacks in our projects we can always gain strength from the popular saying never give up. But need we never give up? Apparently there are always goals we can never achieve however hard we tried. We could not win the top prize in every contest. Whatever treatment used we may fail to lend them the life of someone beloved. There are always frustrations and some are just beyond us. It is thus wise to accept the reality, ie to give up sometimes. As college students we need the same never give up to keep us going. But we also need to learn to come to terms with reality. When occasionally I heard news of some college students committing suicide I said to myself, if only they have learned to give up.
Topic 5. On opening psychological courses.

Many universities and colleges have now decided to open more psychological courses to their students. This is totally advisable and has been warmly welcomed. In the first place psychological courses are in urgent need in colleges and universities. Today students are under tremendous pressures. They have economical and academic pressures and pressures coming from interpersonal relations as well. These pressures may bring them anxiety, depression, and despair. Some students even committed suicide for these pressures. The psychological courses may teach them how to deal with pressures. And thus can be very good for the students’ mental health. In the second place such courses may help students deal with problems in the future. And therefore beneficial to the whole society. The courses teach students how to regulated feelings and emotions in different situations which can be of great use when they graduate and go to work. As for me, I think it’s a wise idea to open more psychological courses to the students
Topic 6. Should we help strangers?

Helping strangers has always been considered a treasured virtue of human kind. Not only because we need help from others throughout our life but also because it brings us tremendous happiness. However some considered that helping others can sometimes put us to trouble. Because there are cheats who take advantages of our sympathy. And sometimes we are not able to provide the help needed. If we cannot swim it is dangerous to help someone being drowned. In my opinion, we should still try our best to help strangers. On the one hand everybody needs help from others. No matter when one travels to other places or stays at home. It is hard to imagine how a man can live without the help of strangers. Because nearly every thing he uses is made by others. On the other hand we take delight and helping others. We feel great joy when we are trusted and needed by others. In a word I contend that we should help others. At the same time we should also learn to protect ourselves from being harmed.
Topic 7. The post-graduate craze.

Presently there is a so called post-graduate craze in China. Millions of people most of who are university students take part in a yearly post-graduate entrance examination. They do so for different reasons. First of all the fierce competition in the job market suggests that many university students will be jobless when they graduate. Post-graduate study will not only enable them to stay away from the pressure of the job market for a couple of years but it can also make them better prepared for their future career. Secondly more and more people realize the importance of updating their knowledge in the age of information explosion. Many people those with decent jobs and high incomes are eager to go back to school and undertake post-graduate studies. Lastly many people are not satisfied with their present jobs. And they hope post-graduate studies will bring them opportunities to improve their social status and living conditions. The post-graduate craze reflects many social problems. I think both the government and all universities must get prepared for its future impact.
Topic 8. Should old people stay at home or be placed in nursing homes?

Should old people stay with their children or go to the nursing homes? Some hold that old people should stay at home. For one thing the young are obliged to repay the care and love they once received from the old. For another the old may help with some house work and gain a sense of achievement which is important for their mental and physical health. Finally when the old live with the young they may find it easier to catch up with new ideas. By contrast some argue that old people should be placed in nursing homes where they can not only have opportunities to communicate and have fun with their peers but also be treated by professional doctors and nurses. Further more with the old staying in nursing homes the young may have more time and energy to devote to their own careers. In my view the decision should be made with all factors fully considered. Above all the opinion of the old should be respected. They themselves should be the ones who make the decision not the young.

What is success? In fact, success is a positive feeling, it is a state of confidence after we achieve our ideals So all of us will try our best to get success."If A is a success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z..Hardworking is x; y is good methods and z is stop talking and get down to work."It is said by Einstein, who is used to be a winner of the Nobel Prize. According to this Wisdom, we known that if we want to do everything successful, we must follow these ways.
When we begin to study, our parents and teachers always told us to study hard. Hardworking, which is an useful way to success, is necessary for us. Hardworking, which means we should try our best to do the things. Besides, if you want to get success, we not only need hardworking, but also have some useful methods. If you have some useful methods, you will feel that it is easier to achieve your goals. What ’ s more, we must stop talking and get down to work. Success is base on the actions. Actions, may not let we get success. But if we not action, it can never be successful. Regardless of the dream is big or small, the goal is high or low, from now on, swing it into action.
