Lesson 4 What will you do when you grow up？
教学内容
本课是九年义务教育小学教科书科普版小学英语第八册中的第四课《Lesson 4 What will you do when you grow up?》中的Read部分，题目是《When I grow up》。
教学目标
一 知识目标
1. 通过本课阅读部分的学习，进一步掌握一般将来时的用法。例如：When I grow up， I’ll be a worker. I’ll build a big house for my parents.
2. 掌握本部分的生词和短语:worker， build， parents， driver, singer，grow up， fly a plane等.
二 能力目标
1. 能理解故事大意，并能回答与课文内容有关的问题及能根据图片和所给的关键词复述。
2. 通过听力理解、泛读、精读等不同方式的阅读练习，进一步提高英语阅读能力,掌握好的阅读技巧,以及在阅读过程中猜词的能力.
三 情感目标
1. 通过本部分学习,培养了阅读能力和技巧，增强了学习英语的自信心,提高英语学习的兴趣。
2. 通过本部分话题“理想”，使自己敞开心扉,抒发情感，用学过的句型表达出自己的理想。
教学重、难点
一 教学重点
1. 重点句型“When I grow up, I'll be a 。..。 I’ll …”的理解和运用.
2. 对本部分课文内容的理解，以及回答相关问题。
二 教学难点
1. 用所学句型结合自己的语言，来表达自己的理想。
2. 英语阅读习惯和阅读技巧的培养.
教具准备
多媒体课件、单词与图配套卡片等
教学过程
一 Warm up
1. Free talk and greetings.
2. 做Guessing game。 教师做动作学生猜是什么职业,并用英语说出来.这样可以复习学习有关职业的单词，并创设轻松的课堂氛围.
二 Lead-in
1. 教师出示自己父母的图片，让学生通过看图来猜一猜自己父母的职业.学习生词：worker, driver, parents。
2。教师用自身的职业导入本部分的重点句型，课件呈现自己从小到大的照片，说：When I was a pupil， I think when I grow up ， I will be a teacher.并拿出一个做好的翅膀说：Everyone has a dream wing， this is my wing. Look! I put my dream on it. 展示自己的理想：I will be a teacher ， I’ll teach students to read and write.
展示出一张大图，上面有很多职业的单词，让学生说出自己喜欢的职业。
这一部分引出本课的话题“理想”，并让学生初步自由选择自己喜欢职业，为下一步阅读课文做了热身.
三 Listening and understanding
出示本课中little boy的模型.黑板上画一个翅膀,说：Look,
They’re his wings. Please listen to the recording, then answer this questions。
Task 1 Write down his dream on the left wing。
When I grow up， I will be a ……
播放录音，听力理解。让学生说出来听到的职业有哪些,并逐一写在小男孩儿的翅膀上。
四 Read by yourselves。 整体阅读Read and point.
1。Please read the text softly， then finish the right wing。
I will be a worker， I’ll build a big house。
I will be a ……， I’ll ……
让学生小声读课文之后，完成理想的翅膀，将做这些事情的图片相对应的逐一贴在翅膀上,并出示关键词。
2。Please read the text loudly， then answer the question.
What else will he do when he grows up？
A。 Fly in the sky like a bird。
B。 Fly his plane all the way to the stars。
3。 Let’s chant.
4. Repeat the text accroding to the keywords。
五Post—reading
1I’ll get up very early and clean the streets。 ——--——I’ll be a cleaner。

给出其它的职业,和这些职业要做的事情。（卡片出示)然后让学生把自己的理想写在翅膀上。在大声的读出来，并展示给大家看。
