It tells that we should cherish the present life.（二）The Population ProblemThe population is one of the biggest problems in the world today. China has the largest population with 1.3 billion. Its about one fifth of the worlds population. A large population causes many difficulties, not only for every family, but also for the whole nation. It has become a serious problem. In many less developed areas, some parents prefer boys to girls. As a result, many girls cant go to school.I think we should do something to control the population. One answer is known as the one-child policy. It has worked well in controlling Chinas population.（三）Saving the EarthHow to protect the environment has become one of the biggest problems in the world. There are many kinds of pollutions around us, such as air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution and light pollution. We can find that rubbish not only pollutes our environment but also harms peoples health. So we should not throw rubbish everywhere. Some factories pour waste water into the rivers and the lakes. The behavior of these factories will pollute the water, and sometimes it can kill the fish living in them.We have only one earth. We must keep our environment clean and tidy. We must try our best to protect her, and make our home more beautiful.（四）How to Be a Greener PersonIts our duty to protect the environment around us. The three Rsreduce, reuse and recycleare important. I think wed better not buy bottles or boxes which people can only use once. We should turn off the lights when we are not using them. We can give old clothes to others to reuse them. When we go shopping, wed better take a cloth bag rather than use plastic bags. We shouldnt throw things away if they can be reused, repaired or recycled. Its important for us to protect animals and plants. We are supposed to prevent the factory from pouring waste water into rivers, lakes and so on. If everyone is doing that, our world will become more and more beautiful.(五)How to Protect the AnimalsAnimals are our friends, but human beings often kill them for meat, fur and money. What should we do to protect them?Our government has done something to protect animals, such as passing laws and setting up some nature reserves (自然保护区). Under the laws, we mustnt hunt or kill these animals or destroy their living conditions. On the other hand, we shouldnt eat wild animals. Keep them away from our dinner. There will not be wild animals on sale. I think the hunters and killers will become fewer and fewer. Last, we shouldnt pollute our environment so that animals can have a good living environment. We should stop people from cutting trees down. Without trees, wild animals will lose their home. And well lose our animal friends. All of us must do our best to protect animals.（六）Lets Study English WellEnglish is widely used around the world. Its used as the first/official language in many countries. Its also used as a second language in many other countries in the world. Its important for a businessman or a businesswoman to learn English well. English is a popular language of the worlds airlines and international business. And two thirds of the worlds scientists read and write in English. About 200 million users of the Internet communicate in English, too. Whats more, the 2008 Olympic Games was held in Beijing, and this calls for the whole nation to learn English. English is becoming more and more important in our daily life. We should study it well. （七）How to Use the InternetI have recently made a survey among 30 boys and 30 girls in our school about their purposes of surfing the Internet. All the boys and girls like chatting very much.What the boys like most is playing games and shopping is the girls favorite. Both boys and girls like to read news or send e-mails through the Internet. Maybe they think its the most convenient way to get information or keep in touch with friends. Only several of them use Internet as a tool to study. So I think students should be guided to use the Internet better. （八）The worldThe world is becoming better and better. But it still has many problems. Some people are still living a hard life. For example, therere many homeless people all over the world. They have to live on the streets. Some children have to be laborers for a living, instead of going go to school. Whats worse, sometimes cruel wars break out in some areas. I feel sorry for them. I hope society can provide warm houses for these people to live in, and they can enjoy the same community services as others.
