My name is Henry. I am writing to you because I had a very unusual experience yesterday. Here is the story:

My cousin and I were sitting in the living room, watching TV and talking. My father was surfing the Internet in the study and my mother was cooking in the kitchen. We went back to the living room to check if everything was all right. Father was there. He told us that the computer was burned and we also found the TV smoking and burned too. What Does Success Mean?
Many people believe that success means winning. However, in my opinion, it means trying your best and doing everything you can, no matter whether you will win or lose. When you are taking part in a long-distance race, if you keep on running as fast as you can, you will be successful, even if you are the last one to pass the finishing line.
I think success means working hard. Nobody can succeed without hard work. Thomas Edison succeeded because he had experimented (做试验) thousands of times to find the best material（材料）to make an electric light bulb（灯泡）. Every success needs hard work. So, if you want to succeed, work hard first!
Lastly, I think success means not losing heart. No one can win all the time. Nobel failed many times when he was doing his experiments. Sometimes his lab was set on fire（着火） and he was killed nearly, but he never lose heart. He kept on trying and finally invented a new explosive(炸药). So, whenever you fail, just stand up and try again!
