Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? 集体备课时间:第七周 主备教师:侯瑞玲 集体备课参加教师:赵玉娜 周向群 冯丽慧 王守国 贾增荣 单元教材分析:本单元的中心话题是“谈论个人的打算,及对某事物的看法意见”,具体涉及电视节目,时尚流行,以及学生围绕电视节目和时尚饰品谈论不同程度的喜好,并发表见解。语言技能和语言知识集合都是围绕“喜好”这一中心话题设计的。Section A 所呈现的是各类电视节目以及与此相关的基本语言知识点的初步运用并会发表见解。Section B 具体让学生对各类电视节目进行评价。 二、学生情况分析 学生初一已学过一般现在时,并且学习现在进行时已学了许多关于活动的短语,他们已经有了描述活动的能力,因此,本单元学习时注意频率副词或短语的位置即可。只要积极参与教学任务中去,和教师、同伴进行互动、合作交流定能学好这节内容。 三、教学目标: (一)语言目标 What do you think of …? 句式在不同人称中的使用及其几种不同的答语方式。 (二)能力目标 能熟练地用英语表达自己对事物的不同意见及不同程度的喜好。 (三)情感目标 1. 让学生了解各类电视节目,对各类电视节目有筛选型的进行收看,通过本单元学习,让学生认识时尚,理解时尚。 2、在语言学习中把握文字传递的感情色彩。 3.了解外国的文化。 过程与方法:看图识词 、 听力配对 、 情景交际 、 综合演绎 、 读表解词 、 相互协作 (四)重 难 点: 重点: 1、以”What do …”句型为引导的电视节目和时尚饰品谈论不同程度的喜好及见解等。 2、不定式做宾语。 难点:句型What do you think of …?;电视节目的表达法;不定式做宾语。 The First Period (Section A 1a -2b) 教学目标: 知识目标:1.准确朗读并识记电视节目和喜好的词汇。 2.学会I like it,, I love it等句子来表达自己对电视节目的喜好。 能力目标:1.能运用I like it,, I love it等句子来表达自己对电视节目和各种事物的喜好。 2.能够大胆地与小组成员交流自己的看法和意见。 情感目标:通过与同学在交际中运用所学知识,提升学习英语的自信;同时能从各种电视节目中找到乐趣,提升欣赏的品味。 教学重点:1.本课的词汇和表示喜好的句子。 2.mind ,can’t stand 的用法。 教学方法:学导式教学法 教具:多媒体教学设施 教学过程: 一. 导入新课。Lead in .The teacher ask the Ss the following questions and talk about TV shows with them: Do you like watching TV? What’s your favorite TV program? Why do you like it? How often do you watch it? 二. 出示学习目标 A. Read the words (from sitcom—action movie) correctly and remember them. B. Use the target sentences to talk about likes and dislikes correctly. C: Talk about your likes and dislike about different kinds of TV shows with the target sentences. 三. 学生自学与教师指导。 1. 自学指导一。通过图片提示学习不同的电视节目的词汇,要求读音准确并能拼读。时间: 3分钟 幻灯展示各种电视类型的图片,学生观看并说出每种电视节目类型。 自学检测一:学生根据提示图片快速说出以下图片所反映的电视节目类型。 2. 自学指导二:全班一起学习讨论电视节目喜好的句型,了解识记表达个人喜好的句式。 时间:2分钟 What do you think of English? I like it . / I don’t like it I love it . /I don’t love it. I don’t mind it.(不介意,不反对) I can’t stand it.(无法忍受) What do you think of game shows? I love them. What do you think of sports shows? I like them. What do you think of news? I don’t mind them. What do you think of soap operas? I don’t like them. What do you think of talk show? I can’t stand them. 自学检测2 Work in pairs of two ,practice the conversation and then make your own conversations. Time: three minutes. A : What TV show do you want to watch? B: What do you think of talk shows? A: They are not bad. I don’t mind them. B: Then let’s watch a talk show. A: That sounds good./That ‘s a good idea. Give Ss some adjectives to practice. 3.自学指导三:学生独立朗读并理解听力题目的要求,认真听录音,按要求完成任务。 A: Student Book, Activity 1b. Listen and number the shows. B: Activity 2a. Listen and number the TV shows in the order you hear them. C: Activity 2b. Listen and complete the sentences.(听录音,补全句子。) 自学检测三:请学生单独回答每道问题。如果有不同答案,全班一起讨论是否正确。 4.自学指导四:学生独立地思考自己对各种电视节目的喜好,根据示例作文,写一篇小短文,谈一谈自己的电视喜好。时间:5分钟。 小试牛刀: What do you think of different kinds of TV shows ?write about them. Example: Hi, I’m Jane. I watch TV every day. I love game shows because they are very exciting. My favorite game show is “Rush, boys and girl”. I like cartoons, they are interesting and relaxing, “Bonnie Bears “is my favorite. I don’t mind news, they can tell us something happened. I don’t like sports show, they are boring. I really can’t stand soap operas, It’s a waste of time to watch soap operas… 自学检测四:选择两名学生完成的短文在投影台上展示,全班一起朗读纠错。 四.法制渗透教育:国务院第228号令《广播电视管理条例》 第二十四条:未经批准,任何单位和个人不得擅自利用有线广播电视传输覆盖网播放节目。 第二十七条:禁止任何单位和个人侵占、哄抢或者以其他方式破坏广播电视传输覆盖网的设施。 第二十八条:任何单位和个人不得侵占、干扰广播电视专用频率,不得擅自截传、干扰、解扰广播电视信号。 第九条:个人不得安装和使用卫星地面接收设施。 如有特殊情况,个人确实需要安装和使用卫星地面接收设施并符合国务院广播电影电视行政部门规定的许可条件的,必须向所在单位提出申请,经当地县、市人民政府广播电视行政部门同意后报省、自治区、直辖市人民政府广播电视行政部门审批。 第十一条:违反本规定,擅自生产卫星地面接收设施的,由电子工业行政部门责令停止生产。违反本规定,擅自销售卫星地面接收设施的,由工商行政管理部门责令停止销售,没收其卫星地面接收设施,并可以处以相当于销售额二倍以下的罚款。 四. 教师集中指导。 1. think of 认为 What do you think of…? =How do you like …? What do you think of Chinese food?= How do you like Chinese food?I like it… 2. I don’t mind them. 我不介意他们。 mind 介意;在乎。多用于以下句型:(表示请求或征求意见) 后接名词、动名词或代词。 Would you mind doing …? Would you mind opening the door? Do you mind …? Do you mind my dog? 3. I can’t stand it! 我不能忍受它! stand 忍受 (多用于否定句、疑问句)常与 can’t 连用I can’t stand the movie! I can’t stand them. 教学反思: 1)课堂气氛好。学生喜欢游戏,可以吸引他们的兴趣。课堂中穿插小游戏,吸引学生的注意力,调动他们的积极性; 2)听写成绩不错,不及格的同学影响小组加分,他会觉得不好意思,下次肯定会用功些。有100分的同学会坚持拿三个,这样就可以免抄单词,效果很好。 至此,我已基本了解并掌握了两个班每个同学的状况,除了在课下多与他们交流外,并在批改的作业本上,对他们学习上的一丁点进步给于表扬。让他们知道老师在关注每个学生的每一个细节。 The second period (Section A 2c-3c) Step1 Greetings。教学导入。 Greet students as usual。Ask Ss: What do you think of … ?Why do you like watching … ? Let Ss make the dialogue in the chain drill. Step 2自学指导一。Students Book .Activity 2c.Ss work in pairs and make dialogues like this: A: Do you plan to watch the news tonight B: Yes. I like watching the news. I watch it every night . A: Why ? B: Because I hope to find out what is going on around the world. .Ss make more dialogues use their own ideas . Time:3 minutes 自学检测一:Ss show their dialogues to the whole class loudly. Check any mistakes if there is any. Step 3 自学指导二。 Ss work in pairs ,read and discuss the dialogue in Activity 2d. Make sure they understand each sentence and read each correctly. Time: 4 minutes. 自学检测二: 1.Ask students to read and translate the dialogue. 2.Translate the following Expect to ; hope to ; can stand ; don’t mind ; mind doing ; one’s favorite … ; one day Step 4自学指导三。Grammar Focus. Have students read the sentences in the chart of Grammar Focus. Then Ss work in pairs and finish the sentences in Activity 3a and Activity 3b. 自学检测三:Ask some students to read the sentences and check the answers. Step 5自学指导四。Students Book .Activity 3c. Ss work in pairs and finish the chart . Step 4 Summarization Summarize what they have learned .-Why do you like watching the news? -Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world? -What do you think of talk shows? I don’t mind them. /I can’t stand them! / I love watching them! Step5 当堂训练 1 .用所给单词的适当形式填空。(10分) 1. I can’t stand (listen) to the noisy music. 2. Step 2自学指导一。 Activity 1a.Have students read the words in 1a. Match the words with the pictures . 自学检测一 : Ask a student to talk about their ideas. Step 3自学指导二:Student Book, Activity 1b. Listen and circle the words in 1a .Time: four minutes. 自学检测二:Ask some students to report their answers. Step4 自学指导三:Student Book, Activity 1c. Make sure they understand the meaning of each sentence. Then play the tape for Ss to listen and write the word in the box. 自学检测三: Check the answers. Correct mistakes if there is any. Teacher: Student Book P100. Listening material .Ss follow the tape . Step 5自学指导四::Pairwork Ask Ss to work in pairs and talk about what John and Mary like to watch and why. Talk about their own likes and dislikes. in 1d. Time: 3 minutes. 自学检测四: 1. Step 6 教师集中讲解: 1. try to do sth. try one’ best to do ; try doing 2. expect to do ; 法制教育内容:国务院第228号令《广播电视管理条例》 第三十二条 广播电台、电视台应当提高广播电视节目质量,增加国产优秀节目数量,禁止制作、播放载有下列内容的节目: (一)危害国家的统一、主权和领土完整的; (二)危害国家的安全、荣誉和利益的; (三)煽动民族分裂,破坏民族团结的; (四)泄露国家秘密的; (五)诽谤、侮辱他人的; (六)宣扬淫秽、迷信或者渲染暴力的; (七)法律、行政法规规定禁止的其他内容。 一.根据句意及词首字母写出单词. 1. I don’t mind it.(不介意,不反对) I can’t stand it.(无法忍受) 教学反思: 虽然教材的编写非常科学,但是由于我们学生基础的不同,我认为教师可适当调整教学内容。如八年级Section B的有些听力材料难度偏大,我认为在教学时,对某些教学内容的先后顺序应做适当的调整。如:的听力填空,我把a good listener, keep a secret,   look alike等词组放在1a中呈现,而把整个听填内容作为达标作业让学生完成。将3a阅读材料放到2a的位置学习,再进行听力训练,就降低了难度,同时也为接下来3b的写作积累了素材。真可谓一举多得。 The Fourth Period( Section B 2a-2e) Step 1Greetings 教学导入 Greet students as usual. Step 2 自学指导一:Section B, Activity 2a. Students discuss:Do you like to watch cartoons? What is your favorite cartoon? Why do you like it? Let Ss discuss the questions quickly . Time: three minutes. 自学检测一:Ask individual Ss to tell their own ideas. Step 3 自学指导二:Activity 2b. Let Ss skim the article in 2b , find the answers to the questions in 2b and 2c . They can work in pairs and discuss if necessary. Time: 8 minutes. 自学检测二:Ask some students to answer the questions . They may have key words for the time line and the facts about Mickey. Step 4自学指导三:Activity2d. Read the passage again and discussion the questions in pairs, whole sentences are needed.. Time: four minutes 自学检测二: Let Ss answer the questions. Action movies/Scary movies/Game shows/cartoons are (educational, serious, wonderful, relaxing, meaningless, enjoyable, exciting, boring…) 1.“ find out” 用作及物动词短语,常表达找出答案,弄明真相,查明情况等意思。如: Please find out when the train leaves. 请查一下火车什么时候离站。 表示“寻找,找出等近义词还有“ look for , find” 1)look for “寻找”指有目的地找。强调“寻找”的过程。 e.g. What are you looking for? 你在找什么? (强调找的过程) 2) find vt. “找” 强调找的结果 e.g. I looked for my book everywhere, but I didn’t find it. (结果是没找到) 2 .“ what’ s your favorite…? 是用来询问对方最喜爱事物是什么。其同义句为“ what… do you like best? 回答用: My favorite book is …或是 I like …best. e.g. --what’s your favorite book? = what book do you like best? -- My favorite book is Snow White. 或是 I like Snow White best. 3. one of …后跟可数名词复数,表示…之一。其后的谓语动词用单数。 e.g. One of my favorite movies is Mr. Bean.我最喜欢的电影之一是憨豆先生。 One of my best friends is Ann. 安是我最好的朋友之一。 4 not so… as 结构表示“ 不像……那 样……; 不如……这么……”。又如: It wasn’t so good as last time. 这次不如上次好。 It is not so easy as you’d think.这不像你想的那样简单。 法制教育内容:国务院第228号令《广播电视管理条例》 第三十四条 广播电视新闻应当真实、公正。 第四十二条广播电台、电视台播放广告,不得超过国务院广播电视行政部门规定的时间。广播电台、电视台应当播放公益性广告。 第四十四条教育电视台应当按照国家有关规定播放各类教育教学节目,不得播放与教学内容无关的电影、电视片。 Step 7 当堂训练。 1.
