Abstract:
This paper aims to study the method and application of gravity field down continuation in the East Tianshan area. First, a literature review is carried out, summarizing the current research status and application of gravity field down continuation at home and abroad. Then, the geological background, gravity field characteristics and distribution of the East Tianshan area are introduced, and the necessity, significance and practical significance of carrying out research on gravity field down continuation in this area are explained. Next, the common methods of gravity field down continuation are systematically discussed, including Thomson-Haskell method, Parker method, Fourier method, Woronowicz method, etc., and the applicability and advantages and disadvantages of different methods are evaluated. Finally, the feasibility and prospects of applying gravity field down continuation methods in the East Tianshan area are discussed, and a specific research plan is proposed.
