Paul Walker, the star of the “Fast & Furious ”movie series, died on Saturday in a car crash that killed one other person north of Los Angeles. He was 40.

The East Coast is preparing for a snow and ice storm that’s threatening to hit the region right as the nation becomes ready for its busiest travel day of the year.
