Computers have become very important in many areas of work and leisure. In space , computers help astronauts control the speed and direction of a spaceship. In hospital, with the help of computers, doctors can find diseases easily and solve the problem. In factories, robots controlled by computers can do the work that is dangerous to humans. In business ,computers are used to place and cancel the orders. We can also use computers to search some information ,do the shopping ,chat on online, send e-mails, play games and watches movies. But if we spend too much time on them, we may get headaches and sore eyes, and we don’t have enough time to study and exercises. Besides, not everything on the computer is true or good for us . So we must use them
properly.

. Since the internet came into being , people’s lives have been changed a lot. Now many people have personal computers, and they often use them to search for the useful information on the Internet . People also do the shopping , chat with friends, see the movies or listen to music through internet. They even do business at home by computer. But computers have brought problems , too. Lots of young students play computer games too much. That’s bad for their study. And not everything we read on the Internet is true or good for us. So we should use it properly.
How to learn English well
如何学好英语
It’s honor to talk all of you here. I’d like to give you some advice on how to learn English well. First of all, I listen to the teacher carefully and take notes well in class, review lesson after class. After class ,I often listen to English tapes and watch English programs on TV. And I keep on a diary in English every day. I also often go to the English club to improve my English, try to speak English with my classmates, friends even foreigners as often as possible . Last but not least ,I keep on trying and never give up.
How to learn English well
　　English is important and useful to us. How can we learn it well? Here are my suggestions.
　　First, we should often listen to the tapes, English songs and programs. Watching English movies is also helpful to us. Second, we should speak English in class as much as possible. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. The more you speak, the fewer mistakes you'll make. We'd better join the English club and practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines. It's good for us. At last, we should recite some good passages and keep diaries.
　　　In a word, as long as we do more listening, speaking, reading and writing, we will learn English well.

How to protect the environment
如何保护环境
Environment is very important to our lives. It’s our duty to take care of the environment .None of us likes pollution . We should not leave rubbish everywhere. Don’t spit in public .Don’t walk on grass or pick flowers . And we should care for wild animals and plant more trees. When we leave the rooms ,we ought to turn off the lights. We had better walk or ride a bike instead of taking a bus or a taxi if we travel a short distance . Take a cloth bag when we go shopping , don’t use a plastic bag . In short ,we should do everything we can to protect the environment.
The changes in my hometown
家乡的变化
My hometown is a small village far away from the town . It used to be very poor. But great changes have taken place during the past few years . Big new houses take the place of the small old ones. A new road takes the place of the narrow one. Now we use electric lights instead of oil lamps. In the past ，we kept in touch with our friends by letter, but now we use cellphones . We can watch TV ,we can also get a good education . So you see, what great changes they are!
低碳生活”（low-carbon life）
　Low-carbon life is good for everyone. To help with the environment, I always walk or ride a bike to school instead of taking a car. Besides, I will try to use things that can be recycled and I never forget to turn off the lights when I leave the classroom. I think it’s my duty to live a low-carbon life. And even the simplest activities can make a real difference to the environment. So I suggest we should reuse books as long as possible. And we’d better not spend much money on expensive clothes. If everyone does something for the environment, I believe the earth will be a better place.
The Population Problem
The population problem is one of the biggest problems in the world. China has the largest population in the world. Because of large population ,we have less living space, it’s difficult for us to find jobs, we are short of water and energy, the cities are more crowded than before, the traffic is much heavier. So large population has caused many problems. So far, China has taken many measures to control the population. Thanks to the one-child policy, it has worked well in controlling China’s population.
