On October 24th, a quite terrible thing was exposed to the public on the internet. I believe almost everyone one of us has heard about it. And I was heavily shocked and then became very angry.
That is, a kindergarten teacher in Wenling, Zhejiang Province, whose name is Yan Yanhong, abused one child. From the picture on the Internet, we can see that Yan pulled the little boy tightly by his ears and the boy’s feet were in the air. How terrible it was!
Of course, child abuse is a common phenomenon in Chinese schools, especially in kindergartens and it is also typical of preschool education.
Nowadays, preschool education is not regulated and administered strictly. Many kindergarten teachers are on the job without any teaching certificate. In addition, most of them are very young. That is to say, they are of low quality. What’s more, there are no precise laws to address child abuse.
It is of great significance to pay enough attention to administer preschool education because infancy is such a important period that it has a great impact on one’s all life. Government should make detailed laws to guarantee the high standards of infant school education.
