4、文化,是企业宝贵的无形资产和重要财富。随着旅游业的发展和涉外酒店的增加,酒店名称的翻译显得越来越重要。本课题提出以奈达的功能对等理论作为酒店名称翻译的理论基础,强调从语义到语体在译语中用最切近而又最自然的对等语再现源语信息,使译名能够更有效地吸引译入语的消费者,激发美好的联想和居住欲望,产生与原文读者相等或基本相等的宣传效果。本课题对273家中国酒店和一些外国酒店的名称及其译名进行分析、归纳、对比和总结,首先得出酒店名称翻译的4种方法,即直译、音译、意译和再创造.接着提出翻译的原则和注意事项。然后,对比分析文化差异对于酒店名称翻译的影响.最后提出建议和结论,即功能对等理论用来指导酒店名称翻译具

7、quivalence as the theoretical basis of hotel name translation, which emphasizes the reappearance of source message from semantics to style by using the closest natural equivalent language, efficiently attracts the consumers in the target language, arouses the beautiful association and living desire

8、and produces the equivalent or basic equivalent publicity effect as the readers of source text.Based on the collection, analysis, contrast and review of 274 Chinese hotels and some Western hotels names and related translated names in this thesis, 4 ways of hotel name translation are firstly reached,

9、 namely, literal translation, transliteration, free translation and recreation. Secondly, translation principles and notices are put forward. Thirdly, influences of cultural differences to the hotel name translation are analyzed through practical examples comparison。 Finally, the suggestions have be
