Unit 2 Around the World教学目标
1 .能够听懂、会说有关国家、城市、语言、名胜的单词和词组:London, Toronto, Sydney, Washington, the British Museum, the CN Tower, kangaroo, the Opera House, the White House, clock, speak, French 等,尝试借助拼 读规律和其他词汇学习策略记忆单词,并能根据语境选择恰当的词或短语填空。
2 .能够听懂、会说用来询问和陈述世界上主要英语国家名胜、地理位置、语 言等信息的功能句:What do you know about …? It' s famous for People there speak …It' s in the south of You can …there. 能够初步学 会在恰当的情境中运用,并能按要求在所提供的语境中书写一、两个句子。
3 .能够读懂介绍英语国家城市景点等内容的小短文,就所读内容与他人展开 对话交流;能够仿照阅读文段,并按相应提示或要求,独立写出几个意义连贯 的句子。
4 .能够扩大国际化视野,喜欢了解周边国家的基本信息。
5 .能够与其他学科相融合,有意识地扩大自己的知识面,如:阅读地理方面书 籍、有出去旅游的愿望等。
教学难点
1 .国家以及主要城市所在大洲的背景知识和对新单词以及新词组的认 读。
2 . maple leaves, speak, French 的读音和拼写。
教学手段
教学录音磁带;教学挂图;教师自制单词卡片,相关教具(如:自制课件、小 奖品等)。
教学步骤:
1. Show some pictures: China, the UK, Canada ^Australia
the USA, (Do you know them? Where are they?)
2. Show a map of the world. Ask: Do you know what China is famous for? Do you know where China is?
New sentence: What do you know about...?
3. Ask: Do you know about other countries? What are they famous for?
Where is it? Where would you like to go this winter vacation?
4. Part A: Ask the Ss to listen to the tape for three times, and check the answers in class. Meanwhile, learn
the new words:
5. Practice: 1) Read the words.
2) Look at a part of the pictures and say the words.
3) Guessing game.
6. Listen to part (B) and repeat it.
7. Make a new dialogue according to part (B).
8. Act the dialogue.
9. Do a survey, (ask and report)
10. Homework
1) Copy the new words.
