When it was published, its sales broke many records in the publishing circles, it is famous all over the

3、world. The novel mainly describes the scarlett, the daughter of taras life during the civil war. At the same time in ASHLEY, scarlett and rhett love triangle between the cues, the novel depicts a wide and prosperous in the southern United States social life. This article mainly from the intention to

4、 study scarlett and rhett and ASHLEYs characters. Main research them before the war, war, and the personality changes after the war. This paper mainly divided into two chapters. The first chapter introduces definition of intention, developing change and direction of socialist moral character shaping

She knew those who wer

16、e relics of a de-stroyed culture, and those who had put aside gentility for survival. Her mother instilled in her that education was her only security. She attended Smith College but had to come home when her mother fell ill. After her mothers death, Margaret resolved that she had to make a home for

17、 her father and brother, so she left college and returned to Atlanta. In 1923, she became a feature writer for the Atlanta Journal, and in 1925, she married John Marsh, a public relations officer for Georgia Power. She found most of her assignments unfulfilling, and she soon left to try writing fict

18、ion more to her own taste. Her own harshest critic, she would not try to get her work published. She began to write Gone with the Wind in 1926, while recovering from an automobile accident. Over the next eight years she painstakingly researched for historical accuracy. Gone With the Wind, published

19、in 1936, brought Margaret Mitchell into great success and recognition as an important American writer. Under the background of the civil war, Margaret Mitchell focused most of her works on the theme of imagism. Gone with the Wind has three main characters: Scarlett OHara; Ashley; Rhett Butler .The s

20、tory happened in a spring of 1861. Scarlett OHara lives on Tara, a large plantation in Georgia. Scarlett confesses her love to Ashley. He tells her that he does love her but that he is marrying Melanie because she is similar to him. Scarlett slaps Ashley. Rhett Butler, a scandalous but dashing adven

21、turer, has been watching the whole scene. The Civil War begins. Scarlett agrees to marry Charles Hamilton, Melanies timid, hoping to hurt Ashley. Over the course of two months, Scarlett and Charles marry, Charles joins the army and dies of the measles, and Scarlett learns that she is pregnant. After

22、 Scarlett gives birth to a son, Wade, she becomes bored and unhappy. She makes a long trip to Atlanta. She begins to see a great deal of Rhett. Rhett infuriates Scarlett with his bluntness and mockery, but he also encourages her to flout the severely restrictive social requirements for mourning Sout

23、hern widows. During the war, Rhett helps Scarlett a lot. She reaches Tara at last. She finds that her mother is dead; her father has lost his mind; and the Yankee army has looted the plantation, leaving no food or cotton. Scarlett takes charge of rebuilding Tara. She murders a Yankee thief and puts

24、out a fire set by a spiteful Yankee soldier. Determined to pays the taxes on Tara, she betrays her sister and marries her sisters beau, Frank Kennedy, who now owns a general store. A free black man and his white male companion attack Scarlett on her way home from the sawmill one day. That night, the

25、 Ku Klux Klan avenges the attack on Scarlett, and Frank ends up dead. Rhett proposes to Scarlett and she quickly accepts. Scarlett becomes pregnant again and has another child. Scarlett and Rhetts marriage begins happily, but Rhett becomes increasingly bitter and indifferent toward her. After Bonnie

26、 is killed in a horse-riding accident, Rhett nearly loses his mind, and his marriage with Scarlett worsens. Scarlett realizes that Ashley has been only a fantasy for her. She concludes that she truly loves Rhett. Scarlett hurries to tell Rhett of her revelation. Rhett, however, says that he has lost

27、 his love for Scarlett, and he leaves her. Grief-stricken and alone, Scarlett makes up her mind to go back to Tara to think of a way to win Rhett back. This paper will be from the perspective of image analysis Scarlett OHara; Rhett Butler; Ashleys character. In this paper, at first use image techniq
