Good day!
First, let me introduce the general information of the some famous ship agent.
Just few years after established, we deserve the trust from our customers, enjoy great prestige among for common public ship agents in qingdao.
We get long-term cooperation with many shippling lines inclusive of CSAV, CSC, MINGWAH, IMC, MISC, BAOYANG, CMA-CGM, EVERGREEN, HYUNDAI, are the designated agent of BaoGang, ZhongHua, ally with world-famous agent such as LBH, B-LINE in many domestic ports.
In 2004, we provide agent service to upto 320 ships/voyages,break bulk ships upto 170 ships/voyages, including the business items as:
1) some relevant agent service for various types of international ships.
2) Providing the agent service for ship’s import and export procedures ( including the procedure of quarantine, frontier defense, custome house, and marine bureau) , arranging the pilots, berth, and loading and unloading , selling or buying ships, ships reversion, and swift dispatch of the ships.
3) receiving the cargos and issuing the bill of lading on behalf of the clients.
4) to be the broker of the ships.
5) arranging marine rescue and assistant , providing consult about marine or pollution-avoid.
import procedure for cargos or ships spare parts.
The ship agent services are mainly classified into two types: container line or the charterd break bulks.
According to the principle business, we mainly introduce the work procedure ofcoporation with container line.
enter the agent agreement with the shipline , generally the effective duration is one year. The contract can continue if both sides agree.
The container ships usually call at fixed ports,sail at fixed voyagea ,with a stable schedule.
As for the staff of ship agent, especially the planner, dispatcher and on-spot man, should master the ship’s particular, or ship’s accessories.
The ship’s particular involve the items such as ship name, nationality, call sign, the length of the ships, the width of the ships , the maximum draft in summer, dead weight tonnage, gross tonnage, net tonnage, the total TEU capacity , the quantity of the reefer plugs, the output of the accessory equipment, and the load capacity of the hatch cover, the side propellors’ output.
As for the ship accessories, we should mainly acknowledge whether the lashing tools meet the requirements.
Another, as for the peculiar trait of the individual ships, the stablity of the ship, the load capacity of the deck and some relevent issues such as whether the ship can accommodate the high-cubic containers , the distributing of the BAY, the maximum number of the layers , the exact bays which can only accommodate 20 GP container, the method of opening or closing the hatch covers and the location of them, the capacity of the derricks and the location of them, the stowage condition of the hazardous cargos , are all should be known.

Before the ship arrival( the subsequent work doesn’t put in sequence. Acquire the estimated time of arrival, declear the ship import.
By the charter (or shipper ) , the agent of last port, the telephone , fax of the ship side, get the contact with the ship as soon as possible to enquire the accurate time of the arrival of the ship.
Fill the << Application Form of Import of International ship>> , declear the import of the ship to the port supervision department. After the declare is approved, submit the same to the port supervision , frontier defense, quarantine department, and custom house. Then get the custom sequence number and inform the same to the relevant department or the relevant staffs inside the company.( documentation department, on-spot guy, and the planer )
Receiving the stowage plan ( BAY-PLAN) or manifest, and they checked it to find out the total number of the import containers and the information about the hazardous cargos.
The BAY-PlAN and the manifest must be received in time. If can’t get from the last called port, we must contact the ship agent of the last called port, or the charter in the qingdao office to get it. Don’ delay.
Report the import quantity of the containers to the port planer to let them make the berths schedule. Then, contact the container planer every half day to confirm the accurate time of arrival and the exact berth the ship planed to call. Once we get it, inform the same to the charter( ship owner ) in time.
The decleration documents for the hazardous cargos must be integral and complete, which must meet the requirement of the port supervision. ( If the last call port can't transfer the documents in time, we must get contact with them as soon as possible). We must declear the documents before the ship arrives, and dispatch the same to the relevant department.
The issues about the distribution plan of the import containers and the reefer containers information are sloved or conciliated by the documentation department.
Report and transfer the latest information and relevent document and data of the ships to the relevant departments.
Inform the estimated time of arrival to the centre of VTS, the general dispatcher of the qingdao port, container planner.
(2) Transfer the report of the arrival of the ship to the qingdao port through internet.
Send the custom manifest information through EDI(made by the documentation department)
Senting the manifest to the tally company and CFS, sending BAY-PLAN to the container company.
The special requirement of the charter ( ship owner ) in this voyage.
Whether the schedule of the ships is urgent.
