China Classification Society certificates:
1) That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with the requirements of regulations Ⅰ/10 of the Convention.
2) That the survey showed that the condition of the structure,machinery and equipment as defined in the above regulation was satisfactory and the ship complied with the relevant requirements of Chapter Ⅱ-1 and Ⅱ- 2 of the Convention.

4. Cargo Ship Safety Equipment Certificate
China Classification Society certificates:
1)That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with the requirements of regulations Ⅰ/8 of the Convention.
2)That the survey showed that:
(1) The ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards fire safety system and appliances and fire control plans;
(2) The life-saving appliances and the equipment of the lifeboats,liferafts and rescue boat were provided in accordance with the requirements of the Convention;
(3) The ship was provided with a line-throwing appliance and radio installations used in life-saving appliances in accordance with the requirements of the Convention;
(4) The ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards ship-borne navigational equipment,means of embarkation for pilots and nautical publications;
(5) The ship was provided with lights,shapes,means of making sound signals and distress signals,in accordance with the requirements of the Convention and the International Regulations for Preventing Collision at Sea in force;
(6) In all other respects the ship complied with the relevant requirements of the Convention.
3) That the ship operates in accordance with regulation Ⅲ/26.1.1.1 within the limits of the trade area.
4) That an Exemption Certificate has/has not issued. This certificate is valid until… subject to the annual and periodical surveys in accordance with regulation Ⅰ/8 of the Convention.
5. Cargo Ship Safety Radio Certificate
China Classification Society certificates:
1) That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with the requirements of regulations Ⅰ/9 of the Convention.
2) That the survey showed that:
(1)The ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards radio installations;
(2) The functioning of the radio installations used in life-saving appliances complied with the requirements of the Convention.
(3) That an Exemption Certificate has/has not issued. This certificate is valid until… subject to the periodical surveys in accordance with regulation Ⅰ/9 of the Convention.
6. Minimum Safety Manning Certificate
This is to certify that the ship will be considered to be safely manned provided that she has not less than numbers and grades of personnel shown in this Certificate.
Note:
1) Sailor shall hold the Certificate of Competency for rating forming part of a navigational watch. Motorman shall hold the Certificate of Competency for rating forming part of a engineering watch.
2) The number of personnel holding the Certificate for Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat shall not be less than the number of such craft and boats on board in case of passenger ship.
3) The numbers and grades of personnel given in this Certificate are the minimum manning requirement necessary for the ship’s safe operation and do not preclude the carriage of additional personnel for the purpose of ship’s maintenance,livelihood service,cargo handling,labor protection,etc. However,the total number of the personnel on board can not exceed the limitation of the life-saving appliances.
7. Ship Safety Navigation Certificate
This is to certify that the ship has been specially surveyed in accordance with Regulations and Rules of this Society and found in a fit and efficient condition.

8. International Load Line Certificate
China Classification Society Certifies:
1) That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with the requirements of Article 14 of the Convention.
2) That the survey showed that the freeboards have been assigned and load lines shown above have been marked in accordance with the Convention.
3) This certificate is valid until subject to annual surveys in accordance with Article 14 (1) (c) of the Convention.
9. Ship’s Sanitary Certificate
In accordance with the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China and its specific rules and other health regulations concerned. The sanitary condition of the above ship is considered satisfactory as a result of inspection. The certificate is hereby granted.
10. Deratting Certificate / Deratting Exemption Certificate
This certificate records the inspection and deratting / deratting exemption at this port and on the above date of the ship under the flag of net tonnage . At the time of inspection / deratting,the holds were laden with
tons of cargo.
Recommendation: In the case of exemption,state the measures taken for maintaining the ship in such a condition that it is free of rodents and the plague vector.

11. International Oil Pollution Prevention Certificate
China Classification Society certificates:
1) That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with the Regulation 4 of Article Ⅰ of the Convention.
2) That the survey showed that the structure,equipment,system,fittings,arrangement and material of the ship and the condition thereof are in all respects satisfactory and that the ship complies with the applicable requirements of Annex Ⅰof the Convention.
3) This certificate is valid until subject to the periodical surveys in accordance with Regulation 4 of Annex Ⅰof the Convention.
12. Ship Gas Free Certificate
This is to certify that following accessible compartments or spaces of the said ship have been inspected and tested.
The above-mentioned compartments and spaces have been found free from combustible gas.
Explanations:
1) This Certificate does not include all kinds of piping,pump and other equipment.
2) This Certificate would not remain valid,should the combustible gases or inflammable materials enter the tested spaces due to the change of ballast,opening of piping and valves or other causes.
3) Before the hot-work is commenced and while it is proceeding the work areas including the heat – influenced adjacent spaces are to be retested in due time by competent persons of the working unit.

(3) Ballast tanks

13. Sewage Pollution Prevention Certificate
China Classification Society certificates:
1) That the ship is equipped with a sewage treatment plant / comminuter / holding tank and a discharge pipeline in accordance with Regulation 3 (1) (a) (i )to (Ⅳ) of Annex Ⅳ of the Convention. A pipeline for the discharge of sewage to a reception facility,fitted with a standard shore connection.
2) That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with Regulation 3 of Annex Ⅳ of the Convention and the survey shows that the equipment of the ship and the condition thereof are in all respects satisfactory and the ship complies with the applicable requirements of Annex Ⅳof the Convention.
3) This certificate is valid until . Under the provisions of Regulation 7(2) and (4) of Annex Ⅳof the Convention,the validity of this Certificate is extended until .
14. Passenger Ship Safety Certificate
China Classification Society certifies:
1) That the ship has been surveyed in accordance with the requirements of regulation Ⅰ/ 7 of the Convention.
2) That the survey showed that:
(1) the ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards:
a. the structure,main and auxiliary machinery,boilers and other pressure vessels;
b. the watertight subdivision arrangements and details;
c. the following subdivision load lines;
(2) the ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards structural fire protection,fire safety systems and appliance and fire control plan;
(3) the life-saving appliances and the equipment of the lifeboats, liferafts and rescue boats were provided in accordance with the requirements of the Convention;
(4) the ship was provided with a line-throwing appliance and radio installations used in life-saving appliances in accordance with the Convention;
(5) the ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards radio installations;
(6) functioning of the radio installations used in life-saving appliances applicable complied with the requirements of the Convention;
(6) the ship complied with the requirements of the Convention as regards ship-borne navigational equipment,means of embarkation for pilot and nautical publications;
(7) the ship was provided with lights,shapes,means of making sound signals and distress signals in accordance with the requirements of the Convention and the International Regulation for Prevention Collisions at Sea in force;

Standard Orders on Board Vessel
1. Standard Wheel Orders
1) All wheel orders given should be repeated by the helmsman and the officer of the watch should ensure that they are carried out correctly and immediately. All wheel orders should be held until countermanded. The helmsman should report immediately if the vessel does not answer the wheel.
2) When there is concern that the helmsman is inattentive he should be questioned : “What is your course?” And he should respond:
“My course …degrees.”
This is a reminder to the helmsman to mind your helm.
3) Orders and Meanings
(1) Midships: Rudder to be held in the fore and aft position.
(2) Port five/ten/fifteen/twenty/twenty-
five: 5°/10°/15°/20°/25°of port rudder to be held.
(3) Hard-a-port: Rudder to be held fully over to port.
(4) Starboard five/ten/fifteen/twenty/
twentyfive: 5°/10°/15°/20°/25°of starboard rudder to be held.
