译林小学英语3A说课稿 Unit 8 Happy New Year Good morning, my honorable judges. It's my great honor to stand here and share my lesson with you. Today, I will talk about unit 8《Happy New Year》story time of  Book 3A. To make myself better understood, I've mainly divided my lesson into four parts. Part One: Analysis of the teaching material 1.      Teaching contents The topic of this unit is about the greetings on New Year’s Day. The main sentence patterns are: Happy New Year! What’s this/that? It’s a…. It’s for…. Thank you. 2.  Teaching aims So far as I know about the New English Curriculum standard, the teaching material and the characteristics of primary school students. I give my own opinions on the teaching aims as follow:  First. Aims on knowledge a. To listen, read and speak the new words: doll, ball, robot, car and Uncle. b. To listen, read and speak the new sentence patterns: Happy New Year! What’s this/that? It’s a…. It’s for…. Thank you. Next. Aims on ability a. To understand, read and act out the dialogue correctly. b. To municate in real situation using the main sentence patterns learned in this lesson. The last. Aims on emotion a. To bee interested in English and build up confidence in English learning. b. To recognize the cultural differences between eastern and western countries and be polite.    After sharing my opinions on the teaching aims, I want to mention the key and difficult points. According to the teaching material and Ss' cognitive level, the key and difficult points I put forward in this lesson are these below: 3. Key points and difficult points a. key points: To be able to listen, read and speak the new words and the main sentence patterns. b. difficult points: To municate in real situation correctly using the new words and the main sentence patterns mentioned above. Part Two: Teaching and learning methods In this lesson I'll mainly adopt Audio-visual method, municative method and Situational method. During the lesson, I'll ask the Ss to work in pairs or groups quite often. While working together, the Ss can help each other and learn from each other. Besides, their abilities of cooperation and munication will be improved steadily. Part Three: Teaching process Step 1.Warming up 1. Free talk: Such as: Good morning, xxx! Look, what’s this? What color is it? 2. Sing a song: Happy New Year. Purpose: It’s an effective way to arouse students’ interest and create relaxed atmosphere for their English learning. They will be involved in the real situation quickly. It can also review the knowledge they have learnt and lead to the new lesson. Step 2. Presentation 1. Present the new words and sentences (1)After listening to the song, I will ask Ss: New Year is ing. What do we say on New Year’s Day? Then, I will teach the sentence: Happy New Year! (2)Look and guess T: Winnie, Tiao tiao, Sam and Bobby are having a New Year party. Winnie has got many presents. Now let’s see what they are. First, I will show a picture of ball which is half covered and ask the Ss: What’s this? Then, I will show a picture of doll at a distance and ask the Ss: What’s that? In this way, I will teach them the new words: ball, doll car, robot, and the main sentence patterns: What’s this/that? It’s a….It’s for….and Thank you. I will guide them to read and pay attention to the pronunciation. Besides, I will give students a learning tip to help them distinguish the difference between “What’s this?” and “What’s that?” Purpose: This game is an information gap activity, which can easily arouse the Ss' interest. While the Ss are playing the game, they can learn and practise the new words and sentence patterns. 2.      Let’s chant    What, what, what’s this?    Doll, doll, it’s a doll.    For me, for me. It’s for me.    What, what, what’s that? Ball, ball, it’s a ball.    For you, for you. It’s for you. While the Ss are chanting, they can add some actions and claps to it, following the rhyme. Purpose: Chant are easy to read and it can help students remember the new words and sentence patterns. 3.      Work in pairs After presenting the new words and sentence patterns, I will ask Ss to make up a dialogue in pairs. For example: A: Happy New Year!            B: Happy New Year!            A: What’s this/that?            B: It’s a….It’s for you.            A: Thank you. Step 3 Practice 1. Story time (1)Watch and answer  I will show the picture of Uncle John, and ask Ss some questions. Q1: Who is he? Q2: What presents does he give to the children? Ss watch the cartoon and find out the answers.  (2) Read and match    To enable the Ss to get a better understanding of the dialogue, I will continue to ask the Ss to read the dialogue by themselves, and then match the presents and the persons. After that, they can discuss the answers in pairs. Purpose: This part helps students to cultivate the ability of self-study and cooperation study. Through watching the cartoon, students can first get a general understanding of the dialogue, then, they can understand it more accurately. In the meantime, the teacher can give related learning tips in order to improve the Ss’ reading ability. 2. Play a game: Super plate There are some food and toys on the super plate, when it stops, the student should make up a dialogue like this: A: Happy New Year! B: Happy New Year! A: What’s this/that? B: It’s a….It’s for you. A: Thank you. Purpose: Playing games is a good way to consolidate the new knowledge. Ss like playing games. It will not only develop their English learning interest, but also help them master the learned knowledge in real situation. Step 4 Consolidation 1. Happy reading   First, Ss read after the tape. Then, they read after the teacher. Finally, they read in groups. Before reading, the teacher should ask the Ss to try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation. 2. Show time Ss choose to read or act the dialogue. Step 5 Production Role play The teacher asks Ss to give an ending to the story. They may think what presents do Helen, Mike and Tim give to Uncle John? Then, they can make up a dialogue in groups. For example: Happy New Year, Uncle John! Uncle John: Happy New Year! What’s this/ that?       It’s a/an…. Uncle John: How nice!/ It’s nice/ great.       This is/ It’s for you. Uncle John: Thank you. Purpose: This step is an extensive activity of the main structure. During this part, the Ss can think freely. They will be glad to use the knowledge they have learnt and their creative ability will be well trained. In addition, if they want to finish the task, they will have to work together. It’s a good chance to develop their cooperation ability. Step 6 Homework In order to extend Ss' ability of using English, it's necessary to give Ss some good and proper homework. Today's homework: 1. Listen and read the dialogue three times. 2. Making up a similar dialogue using the key words and sentence patterns in this lesson. Step 7 Blackboard design On the top of the blackboard, I will write the title: Unit8 Happy New Year.     That’s all for my teaching design. Thank you for your time. Thank you for your listening.
