How Should Parents Help Children to Be Independent?
　　Currently， many parents， if not most， care too much about their children， which makes their kids not as independent as we desire. Undoubtedly， the growth of each kid， exerts a profound impact for the entire family. Time after time newspapers carry articles pertaining to the educational style， and thus the media and officials are supposed to strive for a healthy way to educate our children.
　　The present situation being so serious， it is imperative for us to take drastic measures and do not keep turning a blind eye to them. The first and key point is that parents themselves， rather than anybody else， have the responsibility to provide their children with a more independent living atmosphere. Another method， similarly indispensable， is that it is high time that children enhance their awareness of being independent. With these measures taken， it is reasonable for us to believe that the problem will be addressed in the near future.
　　It is true that children need delicate care. Nonetheless， children will one day grow up and face the cruel world on their own. In order to make our children adapt to the fierce competition when they become mature， the whole society， especially parents are bound to give our children a more independent surrounding.

2010年6月  Due Attention Should Be Given to Spelling
It is becoming increasingly common that lots of students do not think spelling is the major point of mastering good English.     
Through talking with them, I aware of the fact that common thinking leaded to this phenomenon is that, the students only want to get good scores from their tests, which Grammar skills are required more than spelling. Do not mention that some of the students only want to improve their spoken English to communicate, for a simple reason that this can make them sound cool.
Different words stands for different meanings. As we are going to use English in our daily life, to understand different signs and ads, even when we are reading news papers, good spelling skills ensure us to get the correct information’s and prevents misunderstandings from happening. The most important point that students might not see is that spelling skill can make them pronounce well, because different pronunciation comes from different spellings.
Therefore, I suggest all students to pay attention to all the parts of English; this is the only way to make our English perfect.

Nowadays, with the rapid development of information technology, online shopping has gained great popularity among more and more web users. For example, it is fashionable for youngsters to purchase daily essentials, such as books, clothes, electrical equipment, on some famous website, like Taobao, EBay and Alibaba.
Undoubtedly speaking, online shopping has many advantages. Firstly, compared with traditional shopping, it’s very convenient. What you need to do is just clicking your mouse and waiting instead of going out by foot or driving. Secondly, more choices than real store are another attraction to customers. However, in spite of convenience and more choices of online shopping, we cannot turn a blind eye to its disadvantages. Obviously, quality problem is its first disadvantage.
It’s common that articles aren’t so good just as they are described online that customers always buy fake commodities. In addition, it’s troublesome and annoying for many customers to make a change when they are not satisfied with what they bought online.As a college student, I like online shopping but I expected that effective measures should be taken to make it better。
Specifically speaking, government should work out strict regulations and rules to prevent unfaithful and unlawful activities of online shop owners. Only by this way can online shopping become really safe and attract an increasing number of customers

2011年12月 Nothing succeeds without a Strong Will
　　Sometimes, in our daily life, the easiest thing might be the most difficult thing, as in the case of some people trying to quit smoking for hundreds of times and still making endless efforts without any hope of success. The reason for their failure is their lack of a strong will。
　　In our modern world, nothing is simple and straightforward. Something might appear deceptively easy at first, but as we proceed on, we will find that it is actually extremely difficult. Therefore, we must take whatever we do seriously and be mentally prepared to make our utmost exertions. When we encounter obstacles and setbacks, we must apply our strong willpower and persevere until we finally succeed。
For us university students, in our academic studies or in our daily life on campus, we might not be faced with insurmountable challenges. But we need to get prepared, right now, to take things seriously, try to cultivate our strong will, and be ready to pursue our goals through persistence and indefatigable will. I believe it’s the only way we can achieve our success。

ontemporary society, it has become a trend for many products or items to be excessively packaged.
In the meanwhile, an increasing number of customers find it more expensive to purchase these goods. Taking a look around, we can find a great many examples in supermarkets: excessive packages of food, clothes and gifts.
It is evident that the causes of this phenomenon are diverse. In the first place, some customers' psychological need is the root cause. These packages bring the sense of beauty, arouse people's enthusiasm to buy, and help manufacturers to promote sale. In the second place, it is these packages that enable shops to build up a foundation for advertising. As a matter of fact, industries in mounting numbers have come to realize the necessity of packaging for sale.
However, as a customer, I am convinced that quality of goods is of great importance. Thus, we should educate, advocate and encourage our friends, classmates and acquaintances to buy goods without excessive packages. (170 words)
