Learning ability goals 学能目标 Enable the Ss to learn how to give advice on stopping smoking. 让学生学会给出戒烟的建议。 Teaching peocedures & way 教学过程与方式 Step 1 Lead-in This step is to lead the Ss to the topic of the reading passage. Teacher shows some pictures on the screen, and gives a question: “What do you feel when you see these pictures?” Step 2 Pre-reading In this step, the students will have a discussion about smoking, and the teacher gives some information about the harm of smoking. 1. Discussion: (1) Why do you think adolescents start smoking? (2) What advice do you give them? 2. Presenting; The teacher shows the harm of smoking to Ss, and Ss try to fill the blanks of each sentence according to the pictures. The leaves of lung turn _______; The teeth & fingers become ______.
