一.教案背景

二.教学课题
本节课的语言功能话题是谈论在学校和家庭中遇到的种种麻烦和问题,并为他人找到合理的解决方法,礼貌地提出建议。课程中,需要学生学会使用的语言有:What’s wrong with you ?
What should I do ? You should/ could……等句型。
三.教材分析
本课谈论的主题 Topic 是“发表意见 advice ”,其功能项目是 “Talk about problems ” 和 “Give advice ”,目标语言是要求
学生学会使用“What should I do?”来寻求帮助,以及使用“You could/should ……来给出建议。
四.教学方法
视听教学法,任务型教学法
五.教学重点
1. 词汇和短语:want me to stay at home, argue with sb., out of style, write sb. a letter, call sb. up, talk on the phone, a ticket to a ball game.
2. 目标语言:What’s wrong with sb.?
What should I do? You should/could……
六.教学过程
Step 1. Greeting and revision
1. The teacher and the students greet each other.
2. Revise the key words by dictation.
Step2.Presentation.
1. show a picture of a girl who is ill, then the teacher
asks:“What’s wrong with the girl?
Students answer: “She is ill.”
Then write the words " could,should " and " shouldn't " on the blackboard.
T: What should she do?
S: She should see a doctor.
Then show other more problems and advice ,and make students practice conversations with their partners.
2. Ask the students to read through the problem in 1a and teach
the new words and the new phrases: argue with,out of style and so on.
3. Summary
Should意为应该,用来提出建议。同类型的词还有: could , shouldn’t ,couldn’t经常是用来给出建议。区别: 用could给出建议一般是指自己不太肯定,或者只是很多建议中的某一个,尽供参考;而should就是自己很肯定的或唯一的最好的一个建议。
Step 3. Practice
1. Put the students into groups of four and discuss which problem they think are the most serious.
2. Make and practice dialogues using the following sentence patterns.
A: What's wrong ?
B: ……
A:Maybe you should/ could……
make some groups act out their dialogues in front of the class.
Step 4. Listening
1. Play the recording (1a ) the first time for the students to listen.
2. Play the recording again for them to circle the problems they hear. Then check the answer.
3.Tell the students that Peter has some problems and his friend is giving him some advice with“could”or“should”. they are going to listen to the conversation and listen to make sure which word he is using in each advice.
4. Play the recording (2a) for the class to listen and circle what he / she has heard.
5. Call back the answers from the class. Help the class to understand that we can use "could" or "should" to give advice.
6. Play the recording (2b) for the class to listen and check how many they have matched correctly.
7. Call back the answer from the class.
Step 6. Homework
Make sentences with could, should, couldn’t, shouldn’t.
七.教学反思
本节课的目标语言十分贴近学生的生活,学生课堂表现活跃,积极参与对话练习。但对于听力练习的处理不够精简,应加以改进。
