Warm—up
1.Free talk
Talk about the weather.
2.Have a dictation about new words and phrases.
回忆所学的单词及短语,为学习新课做铺垫。
Leading—in
1. Talk about What you think a good friend should be like.
2. Talk about you and your best friends use the comparative forms of adjectives.
激发学生的学习兴趣,培养学生大胆开口的习惯,引入新课。
Presentation
I.Listening
Listen to the tape then answer the question:1)What do Molly and Mary like about their best friends? 2) How are Molly and Mary the same as and different from their best friends?
II.Reading
1.Pre-read
Write the comparative forms of the following adjectives.

2. While-read
Work in groups.
Task 1.Read 2b quickly and underline the comparative words and phrases.
Task 2. Read 2b carefully and write T(for true), F(for false) and DK(for don’t know).
Then check the answers together.
Task 3.Read 2b again, find out the important
And difficult points. Students discuss them in
their groups. If they can’t solve the
problems, we’ll discuss them together.
