With the rapid development of national economy ,all of the world are developing .Fiscal expenditures and revenues is now playing an essential part in national economy. Whether the government is financial deficit or surplus makes a big difference .
The United States government spending and revenues
There are three levels of governments in the US: federal, state, and local. Current spending for federal, state and local governments, and also total overall spending mutually has not much relationship. Federal spending includes grants and transfers to state and local governments. State and local government spending includes “direct” spending on programs only.
The following table of American government spending and revenues suggest much information . According to the pie chart ,we can easily conclude that American government spending’s main composition are pensions ,health care,education, defense and welfare and some other about the 21 percent of the total American government expenditure was on health care,and pensions also makes up 20 percent . These two kinds of government spending has almost occupied a half of the total spending . In addition ,national defense and education have also took up an approximate 30 percent .And the total spending in 2014 was about 6 trillion, 2014 is a fiscal deficit year with a government revenue of 5.8 trillion.What comes the next is about the American government revenue . As the same pie chart of total revenue in the united states,we can recognize that the biggest source of government revenue comes from income taxes , which has a 36 percent share. Compared to income taxes, social insurance taxes has a sight lower share of 26 percent. Beyond that ad valorem tax , fees and charges and business revenue.

What comes to the first is about the education ,which occupy the biggest share with a 23 percent .According to the government spending in 2014,we can easily get that the main spending was on social security with a 16 percent share. The second biggest was on agriculture water expense ,next is the urban and rural community expense,which takes up a 17 percent share.In addition ,expenses on transportation and medicare have the same share of 13 percent . And as well as the spending ,the next comes to the revenue ,the biggest revenue of government comes from corporation tax .with a share of 18 percent ,and then comes to sales tax of 13 percent . Tax revenue makes up more than 60 percent ,non tax revenue take up less than 30 percent .in addition ,we find that the transportation expense also

has a 11 percent share..

According to all the information I have talked, we have known different have different kind of fiscal expenditures and revenue, it depends on a country’s own situation .China does do that . Compared with American’s government expenditure and revenues ,China still has a gap to meet the basic requirements of public finance with Chines characteristics. At the present stage in order to establish public finance with appropriate to market mechanism and the conditions of the country..
