Unit4 C Story time 教案 一、教学目标 Teaching goals: Knowledge: a story about the ways of cooking, environment and whales of past, now and future. Ability: 1: Ss are able to listen and understand the story with the help of the pictures. 2: Ss are able to read the story clearly and correctly. 3: Ss are able to retell the story with the help of the pictures. Attitude: 1: Develop Ss’ reading comprehension. 2: Develop Ss’ interest in reading stories. 3: Develop Ss’ awareness of healing the earth. 二、学情分析 本课内容以小学六年级学生为教学对象。六年级的学生已经经过了三年的英语学习,并且已经具备了一定的听、说、读、写能力。课标规定六年级学生毕业时要达到课标规定的二级水平。根据《英语新课程标准》中,听、说、读的二级能力目标是:学生在老师和图片的帮助下能够听懂并理解故事;学生能根据图片理解该故事;并能养成按意群朗读故事的习惯;学生能正确地朗读所学故事。学生在学习该故事之后,能够在老师和图片的帮助下描述该故事。 三、重难点 Keys: 1: Ss are able to read the story correctly and fluently. 2: Ss are able to retell the story with the help of the pictures. Difficulties: 1: Ss are able to read the whole story correctly and fluently. 2: Ss are able to retell the story in the groups. 四、教学过程 I. Warm-up 1.1 Greeting. 1.2 Free talk. a. The teacher talks about the hobby with the students. b. Questions for students: Do you like reading stories? Do you like reading magazines? II. Presentation and practice 2.1. Have Ss talk about some pictures from the story first. 2.2. Ss talk about the pictures they like. 2.3. Have Ss guess what the story will talk about. Questions for students: What will the story talk about? 2.4. Have Ss listen to the story with the pictures. 2.5. Have Ss say what they know from the story. Question for students: What does the story talk about? Does anyone know? 2.6. Have Ss read and help them understand the story. 2.6.1. Show picture1 to picture 3 a. Have Ss read with the magazine. b. Ask some questions to help Ss understand. 2.6.2 Show picture 4 to picture 6. a. Have students choose the picture they would like to read. b. Have students read with the magazine. 2.6.3 Show picture 7 to picture 9. a. Have Ss read picture 7 with the recorder. b. Help Ss understand by the question: What do you know about whales before? (Question: Who lived earlier, Whales or humans?) c. Have Ss read picture 8 and 9. III. Consolidation and extension 3.1. Have Ss read the magazine by themselves. 3.2. Have Ss read the magazine together. 3.3. Show the pictures with no words, and have Ss choose the pictures they are interested in to talk about. 3.4 Group work a: Have each student talk about any item of the three in groups. b: Invite some groups to talk about the magazine in front of the screen. c. Have Ss enjoy the pictures with the music and get to know how to heal our earth. IV. Homework 1. Read the story to your parents. 2. Retell the magazine and share it with the classmates next day. 3 / 3
